Well I've worked up a pretty good stake (starting with my first trip to vegas) and am planning on heading down to Atlantic City for a week or so. I've managed to scratch and claw about $5000, but obviously don't want to put my entire roll into play. I've never been before and was wondering what you East Coast sharks thought was the best place to play and what sort of games/limits are being spread. I prefer no limit, but don't mind playing some limit at lower stakes. Also was looking to get some stud in if possible. Any feedback would be appriciated. I'll post any significant results/hands/losses when I get back (that is if there is anything worth posting). Thanks for the time...

I play at the Borgata and the room is very nice. I generally play 2-5 NL and I do very well at it. The max buy-in at 2-5 is $500, so well within your BR. They have limit, nl, stud, and sometimes some Omaha. There is a wide range of limits to choose from. I have also heard that the Trop is pretty soft, but I can't drag myself away from the Borgata.Good luck

Thanks...Was actually considering staying at the Borgata, so that would work out well. Look forward to playing there as well. Maybe I just may see you at the 2-5 table...

The Borgata is the only place to stay......as far as playing try the Taj too, lots of action.
Yeah I planned on heading over there, if only to see it. Which room is bigger by the way? I'm sure they both spread plenty of games but which is bigger? Should expect to wait long for the 2-5 game? Thanks again guys...

The Taj's room is bigger, but it doesn't compare w/ the Borgata's. There are over 30 tables in the Borgata, so that shouldn't be a problem. During the day the wait for the lower limits is about 30-45 minutes, but at night it can get ugly. Also, if you play a while (not sure how much, but no too long) you can get the poker room rate of $125 for a room...and the rooms are nice!!

borgata and taj are your only choices and for comfort level borgata is by far the best. borgata also has poker rated rooms which come out to like $40 on weekdays and like $120 on weekends, it requires that you play 8 hours a day. borgata also pays the best hourly rate which is two dollars an hour. anyway good luck
