I've been playing a lot of Full Tilt Rush poker (.50/$1 limit 9 handed). I've been enjoying it, although just barely beating breaking even. One aspect of it is that you basically have no reads at all off of opponents (except the few I have notes on, or unless you have PT3, but I have PT2). This means that you have to decide on a starting hand strategy and stick to it. I have a few starting hands charts from various books and a print out I keep by my computer from when I was learning the game several years ago. I think the game has changed in the past few years with players being much more aggressive, and Rush does play pretty tight, so I'm not sure of some of the marginal decisions in my starting charts. So I thought I'd make up a multiple choice quiz on the spots I'm starting to question, to get some other opinions.1. UTG raises and you are UTG+1 with KQo. A. fold B. call C. raise2. UTG raises and you are UTG+1 with AJs A. fold B. call C. raise3. Folds to you in MP with QJs A. fold B. call C. raise4. MP raises and you are button with 88 A. fold B. call C. raise5. MP raises, LP calls, SB folds, you are BB with Q7s A. fold B. call C. raise
i: fold, raise, raise, raise, call.i think all a standard except #2, but i din't like the call. i've played a little rush and it does seem tighter and just poor overall. i think with this read 4 is a raise for a few reasons.

i guess just raise the flop. any big heart (might raise), straight draw or pair will come along. on the flip side, there are a number of cards that will cause folds.

It's too bad, I was about to tell you guys to come rail me at the final table of the $3k guaranteed Limit HE tourney on FT. But then ultradonk open limp/called JTo in the cutoff, and I iso-raised A7o, flop J7x, he c/c. Turn Jack, which is normally a great barrel card for me, but I figured a value check to get him to either bluff air or value-bet worse on the river was better. River blank, he bets I call, so I played it perfectly, but it crippled me. He then laughed endlessly in chat about me raising A-7, and when he got asked about it, he said JT was better than A7. Next orbit I bust in the BB when my K9s runs into the button's AK. ****ing game.

I like it. You will fold out his unpaired broadway hands that might have bet the turn as a scare card, but that's it. Any other PP is checking behind, and who knows even Ax might value check since 5x is certainly in your range.

Out of curiosity, were you c/f or c/c the river in this hand?

He actually should be bet/folding that river, even 3way. c/c is beyond bad there, if you check it's with the intention of folding. Which is gross. So just b/f. Who knows maybe he even throws away that 3d.

Yes, lead the turn. C/c the river is fine.

Wouldn't the lead on the turn just scream I hit my ace (maybe I exactly want this given the draws, im not sure), or could I have draws enough here in either villain's mind? If I lead turn and get raised once I assume it's call c/c river?

I rarely try for a check raise in spots like this. At these stakes in a multi-way pot, you will get action...

You need to fold the river.
Can you explain this for me a little more?

What hand is he raising on the river that you beat? 99 out of a 100 times, a river c/r in LHE, especially given the heavy previous action means that that player doesn't care if you have an overpair or TPTK. Basically in this case, he is putting you on QQ+, and doesn't care. Add to that that every draw has now hit, and there is not a single hand you are beating. Also, TBH, you probably should've flatted the flop and raised a non-heart turn.
