Everyone uses PokerTracker, and it's worth 100 times the price.Keep an eye out tho, the next generation of tracking programs should all be released soon; PokerTracker3, PokerEV something... I don't know anything about any of them, though.

hey, let me ask this being new to taking online poker seriously...does this impact anyones ability at the tables? did it hurt your ability to read the people and analyze flops? or does it not matter because online is so impersonal anyway

I know some people think it hinders them a bit, but if you put the same effort into analyzing flops, and getting reads on players, etc, and use the extra information you get from PokerTracker, you should be fine.Just don't fall into that trap where you turn into a robot like a lot of online players.

It doesn't just help IMO, with a little work it's essential. Because online is so impersonal it's hard to remember player's tendancys. If someone new sits in at your table and you instantly know (from past sessions) that they play 40% of their hands but only raise with Aces or Kings, you have an immediate advantage over that player and anyone else at the table that does not have that information.
