I never said he was washed up. There is no need for everyone to get so defensive. If Daniel is in the black since 2006 when he stopped posting results than more power to him.

The journey begins with the first step. And recall, new members can bring differing perspectives. Do not be afraid of change. Daniel and Obama would greatly dislike opposition to change.
Lil Bush says, "Barack Obama says he wants change... that's all we need-a black dude in the White House begging for change"

I can't think of much besides his sex life that is less our business.

Cite your sources, since it's so "clear". He was whupping the Big Game for a long time before that big hit, and since then he either isn't playing high-limit live or he just isn't talking about it anymore. His tournaments are probably largely freerolls (thanks Pokerstars) so he doesn't have the buyin expenses to worry about, and yes, online he gets killed just like a lot of other live pros.
I like to be killed, please.

Except that there is an entire sub-forum dedicated to "Daniel's Poker Results," so I don't think it's unreasonable for somebody to ask about his poker results.

Who told him not to post results anymore? That's kinda gay.

And his choice to answer if he so desires. But if not then it's nunofurbizniz.

I posit this to the vociferous denouncers...is it at all possible that Daniel is in the red since he stopped posting results? And if that were known to be true, would it diminish your respect for Daniel as a human?

Seriously? What was his reasoning?
1. Taxes2. Barry also commented that he was a little forgetful of some of his losses. Which would bode worse for tax reasons.

1. I doubt that very much.2. Money has nothing to do with respect. 3. If you love to gossip so much why don't you try the Brittney Spears page?

Actually I planned on keeping up with the results and then: got freakin' lazy. That, coupled with the fact that I only played two live sessions in the big game after that (a $300k loss and a $520k win). I've only really played online and in tourneys over the past year or so. My free time has been devoted to golf, writing, partying, and traveling. My online results have been good. I've done extremely well in the $200-$400 limit games online and also won in the $100-$200 NL games. As for sit n' gos, after a slow start I'm right around even and am always facing the top sit n' go players online. I'm ahead of Dario and Genius28, and down 6-4 to Pokts. If I start playing more on a regular basis I'll get back to posting. As for tournament results, those are so easy to track I haven't bothered as much. When I'm in a tournament, it's always available online. When I cash- it's known. As for playing in smaller tournaments, the OP doesn't realize that in 2004 I played NO events outside of the WSOP and 10k or higher buy ins. I don't plan on EVER returning to that environment either. In the late 90's and early 00's I played a ton of small tournaments and with the number of high buy in events to be played these days it makes no sense for me to play any of them. I wish I had the OP working for me, though, when it comes to dealing with the tax man. Maybe you can convince him I'm in the red? PLEEEEEEEEEEAZE LOL.

Look buddy, I said 6 mil over 15 months. That's 400k a month. That's 40, 10k tourneys a month. That's hardly an unrealistic number. Just realize that as much as you might not like it, the guy is bleeding money like crazy.
This is a joke... right? You can't really think he plays 40 10K buyins per month... he talks about all the tournies he goes to play in... and it might be in the range of 3-5 per month... if that.wow... sorry if this was cleared up as some kind of joke... I didn't read through the whole thread.

Thank you for addressing this thread Daniel. If you really want me to advocate for you in front of the IRS just let me know. My oratory prowess reigns supreme and my vernacular is spectacular. Do you all see how Daniel responds with grace and good cheer? Learn a lesson on discourse and instead of attacking the inquisitor, respond to the issue at hand. Have fun in Australia Daniel, just don't go walkabout too far inland.
