simo_8ball 0
Presenter: *long speech about playing small pots with middle set*Iggy: *sigh, no, you're an idiot who is pretending to know the slightest thing about PLO*Presenter: *long speech about the flop being really simple to play and the turn is hard*Iggy: *sigh, no, you're an idiot who is pretending to know the slightest thing about PLO*Presenter: *long speech on how you can only win with the nuts*Iggy: *sigh, no, you're an idiot who is pretending to know the slightest thing about PLO*Presenter: *long speech about high pairs being bad unless you hit top set*Iggy: *sigh, no, you're an idiot who is pretending to know the slightest thing about PLO*I didn't like the way they essentially implied that PLO is some kind of "side show", as though Holdem is real poker but if you get bored you could try this wacky little subsidiary. I mean, he said "you seem to have an affinity with the game". Would you ever hear that said about a NLHE player? They just knew a few old cliches and tried (and failed) to adapt clever points from NL to PLO.You came across very well. You managed to get some very good points across despite being presented with the most retarded questions possible.IMO.EDIT:Presenter: *PLO is almost all Europeans*Iggy: *sigh, no, you're an idiot who is pretending to know the slightest thing about PLO*
bdc30 0
C'mon - nobody else saw the hilarity in the "degen" quip?Even Iggy I'm sure would admit to the massive level of understatement in that comment.
bdc30 0
also - nitpicking maybe, but I was getting uber-annoyed with how much they were using the term "PLO" For typing/abbreviation purposes on teh interwebs, among people who know what it means anyway, yes, call it PLO all day every day.On the radio, it's a bit different story. Just thought it came across as very contrived and like Simo said, seemed like they were trying to pretend to have a clue about the game when to anyone who DOES have a clue it's apparent that is not the case. mln_falcon 0
So quit poker today. Cashed out all my mobnies from Stars. Left what I had on Tilt there just under $200 so if I ever get the itch I can still play. This isn't a permanent quit obviously, I enjoy the game too much, but I'm seriously burned out and probably won't play again until the holiday between semesters. Might give PLO a try when I get back because your all making it sound really fun.
Zach6668 513
Might give PLO a try when I get back because your all making it sound really fun.Yeah, check out the low content (whine) thread in the PLO forum if you want to know how much fun it really is, lol.

I think it will come across as "ya, I've played out of my bankroll a couple of times, and I once made a daft $400 prop bet" to most people.
bdc30 0
Check out the whine thread and learn from all my (and bud and simo) mistakes BEFORE trying to play and you'll be a LOT farther ahead....
simo_8ball 0
Yeah, check out the low content (whine) thread in the PLO forum if you want to know how much fun it really is, lol.My alllin luck net run line for PLO (95% at $50nl):EDIT: I think I've posted this a couple of times before actually, and I haven't played PLO in a few weeks. I just like to complain about running bad. It stops me from actually tilting.
BudBundy 0
It is fun while you are winning. I lost 25 buyins at $100 PLO in the last 3 days so not that fun for me at the moment. Taking three days off.

whatgreatis 0
So I've found the place I'm going to live and found my roommate. I'm very happy with both. Check it out.http://www.arroyograndeapts.com/photos.aspx It's the 2bedroom 2bath upstairs modelhttp://www.arroyograndeapts.com/images/sou...%20Upstairs.pdf theres the floorplanI was up all night sending texts to my future roommate. She's a volunteer with the Obama campaign, lived in Vegas her whole life, likes the same music/movies as me and is very chill. I sent 48 texts in a row to her, which is probably a record for me. The place is in Henderson which is the area I wanted. I move in April 1st and to say I'm excited is an understatement.
megnluk 0
My name is Meeghan and I am very new to poker. I have been playing on and off since November. My best friend is very good at poker and he has been teaching me a lot of what he knows. He also bought me the small stakes hold'em book to learn from. I have only been playing at the .02/.04 cent tables, it is fun and I am learning a lot. I hope to put in at least 100-150 hands a night, it's not much, but it's what I am comfortable with right now.Goal for the rest of the month will be to put in 1,000 hands. My other goal is to finish reading sshe all the way through for the first time. Acid_Knight 2
After a smooth ascent upwards all month, my graph has gotten VERY swingy in the last couple of days.
whatgreatis 0
So I was playing 6max yesterday and a guy kept 3 betting me, I was thinking no way he has a big hand every time. He was open limping with his Ax hands, so he needed big pairs and AK to 3bet. So long story short I hit a five outer in a 200bb pot because I swore there was some sort of leveling going on. Turns out there wasn't. He just had big hands every time. It feels so good to get there once. That's kind of a leak of mine. I assume people at 25nl are adjusting and 3betting me lighter than they should when it turns that they just have a hand every time. If anything they adjust by calling me lighter, which I welcome.
