month3cq1.jpgBeat: Umm, I got 2 (6?) outered today in a largish pot by a guy who bet/called AI on the turn after donk/calling the flop with 44 on a A568hh board. I had AK. He rivered a set.Brag: That hand didn't affect much, look at the graph. Variance: Only the + kind this month, TYVM.

I haven't had my 1st losing day yet actually. That day where I had that swing, I was up 600 and then down 1200, so there's the 1800 drop, and then I ended up clawing back and ending up +300 that day.

I got the book today , thanks.Btw you wrote Bud Bundy as the receiver's name on the package which is priceless. The postman came this morning while i was half asleep. My mom answered the door and a conversation like this went thru :Postman : "Hi Ma'am , i have a package for.......uhm...Bud Bundy lives here?"*I try to get up and run to the door cus i am sure my mom will naturally say no but before i could get up...Mom : "Yes he lives here. I can accept the package."Postman : "OK Ma'a , What's your name and relation to Mr....eerr...Bundy?"Mom : "Peg Bundy , i am his mother"*I roll in the bed laughingpause pausepausepausepausePostman : "Ma'am you should give more detailed instructions next time , i almost got lost in this apartment. Have a nice day."This is pretty amazing because first of all my mom watched me play only a couple of times and my screenname is "bundys" not budbundy. 2ndly i have never seen her watch Married With Children. Maybe she has seen it a couple of times while i am watching. It was priceless to see how she put the pieces together in sec and acted without any hesitation at all.
LOL I got to the post office and I was like ummmmm ya I don't know your name. So I put that.... also I forgot your zipcode so I am glad it got there :club:

So I went and did it and became a internet poker player for reals. I deposited 600 and with the small amount of money I had on there from stake winnings I'm able to grind .10/.25(6max). The first day is showing to be pretty promising, up 2 buy ins. I didn't want to deposit money until I moved to Vegas to make sure I absolutely had enough. But I figured I'm losing value not playing and if need be, I can always cash out. I still have 4.1k to make the move which should be enough.

lmfao @ iggy -- at the 1hr 22min mark in the pokercast

I do have a little degen tendency every now and then
:club::3h:ts:D:D:4h:5c:D :lol:BTW - do those guys even understand plo? Yammering on about how aces aren't that strong, making broad statements about middle/bottom sets, etc. Good interview though - you were bang on. It's too bad they didn't seem to pick up or expand on most of the concepts you tried to bring up. The "bare ace" comment killed me tooTurn being the most important street in plo??? WTF? Of the 4, the turn is probably the least important.

Yeah, I actually kinda felt bad when I listened to myself that I didn't shut them down harder on the pot control comment. I was thinking about the preflop thing halfway through what he was saying and I think I just kinda missed what an awful question it was.Anyway, I think today's graph is a little bit more like what you guys were looking for. It's not quite as exciting as it looks since I'm only getting half on the stake, but it's still pretty swongy:swongska1.jpg

Just as an aside (I've never actually had to think about it til just tonight) how would you rank the 4 streets in plo in terms of importance?Just on instinct, I'm thinking: Flop, Preflop, River, Turnwith river maybe > preflopbut turn is nowhere near the top of that list, imo.

It is a weird question and it caught me off guard somewhat, but I think what I said in the interview is basically true. For beginning players, the flop's the most important as it sets up the whole hand and if you regularly play it badly, you're going to be in a lot of hopeless spots where you can't make money. But as the players get better and more experienced, they start to get the PF, flop, and turn play all down fairly well, and it's the river where you can make thin calls based on your reads, adjust your bluff frequencies to your opponents on different boards, and occasionally make a big bluff-raise when you get an obvious thin value bet. I think the river's the most difficult street to play really well and takes a lot of innate thinking and hand-reading ability that can't be corrected by someone just looking at your stats and telling you "change X".

I agree all of that, but especially the stats commment.Preflop is simple. You're playing 78/2? You're too loose passive.Your W$WSF is 15%? You're not aggro enough and you're playing way too weak on the flop. The only stat you can use to isolate the river is river aggression, which isn't really that helpful.
