You can watch it on the site, but the action played out thusly...Might've been the first or second hand...Blinds 100/200, Starting Stacks 20kChan raises Ac5c to 600 from MP, Daniel calls in CO w/ 44, Antonius calls w/ Jd9d in BBFlop 532r, Chan bets 1800, Daniel raises to 3600, Antonius folds, Chan callsTurn A, Chan checks, Daniel bets 5000, Chan callsRiver A, Chan bets 7000, Daniel thinks/talks a really long time and foldsThe more I think about it, the more I hate Chan's river bet.
This is all that you need to see:l_75ec2f3f6c64b8a9fc8d91058067148e.gif

So I'm watching on Pokertube this episode, and de Wolfe wanted to make props, then DN said that it is against the rules now to make props during the show. I was wondering if DN or anyone with insight in that could explain the reasoning

I don't think he should be betting. In discussing the hand with my brother, I initially tried to defend Chan's bet as trying to get some value from a middle pair. However, Daniel probably is going to fold those hands. Therefore, the only way that Chan gets more money is if Daniel has trips (somewhat unlikely), a straight, or a full house. If Chan checks there, I think Daniel's going to take a stab at value-betting all of those hands...at which point Chan can check-raise in. If Daniel's on a bluff or middle pair, there's really almost no value in Chan betting out.Yeah, you look "dumb" when you check a full house on the river and it gets checked behind...but so what? That's the way to maximize value sometimes.
I like the bet a little more then the check. I think it will get called more the if he ck and try to get DN to bet. but that why the a lot of way to play hold'em

I think the producers didn't like the fact that the props were drawing away from more fun table talk...Same thing happened in High Stakes Poker in season 2 or 3, where most of the table talk was centered around the props, and so they decided not to allow them for season 4.

Prop bets don't equal good TV. Because most people (including me) don't have a clue what they're talking about... it's just confusing, and I'm glad that the producers of both HSP and PAD don't allow them.

Let's divide Daniel's ranges:Trips, straight, or house:Chan checks, Daniel bets, Chan raisesChan bets, Daniel folds trips or straight and might just call with a full houseBluffs:Chan checks, Daniel bets/checks, Chan raisesChan bets, Daniel foldsMiddle pairs:Chan checks, Daniel checksChan bets, Daniel foldsDaniel's probably only checking behind with hands that he wouldn't call a bet with...so there's no value lost there.

Nobody else noticed Rolands comment about the xJKKx board? "I've seen this board on poker after dark before" he said when antonius was in the hand. Obv referring to the "I thought you had pocket kings" incident.

He just seems so smug (thinks he's funny/entertaining) and oblivious...and seems kind of bad at poker.

DN was asking Gus if he saw the hand that he folded to Daniel when DN had AA and gus had Ax. Gus said he didn't see the show. You think these guys really don't watch this show in particular to see how so and so payed a hand etc?Seems this would be a standard to watch, if they don't in fact get a copy of the show.
the more i watch these, especially return players like gus, daniel, JC, etc, the more i notice that they seem to approach with a different style each time... for example this week, the commentators even picked up on it, daniel appeared to be trying his new limp style of poker, while gus is playing a pretty lock down game (cue broke gus rumours)so basically, i guess they could watch them, but the constant changing of gears and new approaches almost makes it pointless to watch for strategic value.although i may be wrong

**Spoilers**I don't think I like Chan's call with 66 when Juanda and Gus were already all in.I wasn't paying too much attention tho, so I don't know what percentage of his stack he made that call with.
