CobaltBlue 662
I don't know if anyone caught it last night, but Daniel, Antonius, Chan, Hansen, de Wolfe and Juanda are playing. Early on, Daniel made one of the best laydowns that I've ever seen him make. I think he was the only one at that table that could've laid it down.
TrueAce13 18
What was the laydown? Find it online?
CrookedLink 0
What was the laydown? Find it online? He layed down an A-5 straight when Chan made a full house on the river. It was a good lay down, but by no means, the greatest I've ever seen from him. There just wasn't much he could beat, the way Chan played the hand.

He is one good looking poker player...lolAnyway, so so episode tonight**Spoiler Warning**This is probably the first time I didn't like Daniel doing the show one card thing. Especially since he gave Gus the option of choosing the card.It just didn't seem to help and only hurt his chances of getting called.
Veener Schnitz 0
i lol'd when gus told roland to suck his **** and dn said "that probably wont make the show"

Just curious, what do you think he should be betting?

The only reason why I could see him making that call, is because it's winner take all and there was already a lot of money in the pot.
HubDub04 0
Dn is so good. I love this PAD week, it's full of the best players in the world imo (except for Chan, he's the most overrated player in history imo).
Balloon guy 158
DN was asking Gus if he saw the hand that he folded to Daniel when DN had AA and gus had Ax. Gus said he didn't see the show. You think these guys really don't watch this show in particular to see how so and so payed a hand etc?Seems this would be a standard to watch, if they don't in fact get a copy of the show. HubDub04 0
I like how last night they were talking about the 07 WCOOP ME winner The Void being disqualified. They said that it was one of Gus's buddies (Mark Telshner I believe).Surprised that DN can talk to openly about that seeing as he is a member of Stars.

CobaltBlue 662
The pot is 19,000 at that point right? Just curious, what do you think he should be betting?I don't think he should be betting. In discussing the hand with my brother, I initially tried to defend Chan's bet as trying to get some value from a middle pair. However, Daniel probably is going to fold those hands. Therefore, the only way that Chan gets more money is if Daniel has trips (somewhat unlikely), a straight, or a full house. If Chan checks there, I think Daniel's going to take a stab at value-betting all of those hands...at which point Chan can check-raise in. If Daniel's on a bluff or middle pair, there's really almost no value in Chan betting out.Yeah, you look "dumb" when you check a full house on the river and it gets checked behind...but so what? That's the way to maximize value sometimes.
