Hand 72: Why are you re-popping w/ A9 OTB pre-antes? Is this not a good spot to see a flop?Hand 92: LOL @ the guy having KJ...niceHand 127: I'm assuming the biggest hand of the tournament. Nicely played.Hand 137: WeeeeeeeHand 163: Feel free to lose a race or a 30/70 anytime nowHand 175: Spew OOP?Hand 181: How come you didn't open here?Hand 186: Is your standard raise 3xbb here?Hand 194: What I find interesting is that you just checked from the BB w/ TT a few hands ago, but then 3-bet to over 4x his min-raise here w/ the same hand. Are you keeping the pot smaller OOP and inflating it because we are in position here? We've talked before about how you like to call with a huge range of hands on the button, is there a reason you deviated from that here?Hand 210: Nicely done. These are the spots you have to pick to win tournaments. Impressive. Also a good time to point out that if you didn't accumulate early you'd have been way you by now. A good example of why not to sit on a big stack at really any point in a tournament. Accumulation >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> players getting knocked out, which I know most people that read this thread already know but in case someone doesn't think it's important this is a nice tournament to show how crucial it can be.Hand 219: Shove there is hoping an overpair can't fold? What do you think about c/c on a fairly dry board, and then leading small on the turn? Too obvious strength?Hand 258: Muahahahahahahaha. I think this is moderately standard but still funny.Hand 282: You have extra large juevosHand 286: Another crucial hand. I don't see any reason to fold if you are going to open with this hand, simply because lower pairs are such a huge part of his range.Hand 376: That is a sick, sick, sick hold on the FT bubble

Hand 389: Interesting spot. Be curious to see what some of the regs in this thread think about that handHand 398: WeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHand 400: I may open here. Any reason why you didn't? BB's stack perhaps?Hand 421-424: Here comes the Gallo I love!Other hands: You are running over this table right now, it's lovely to watchHand 478: Classic galloamentsHand 498: Damn, shoulda been over right thereGreat game man. I think the guy adjusted to you when you got down to 2 (or was just happy to be in the top 2 at that point, who knows) but no serious flaws honestly at all, IMO You ran great a lot and then just ran shitty heads up, it happens. I was far more impressed with the hands you didn't play than the ones you did. Back in the day you used to have like Q2 on a 2 5 8 9 board and the guy would bet into you and you'd shove and he'd call with 89 and you'd be like "****, I REALLY didn't think he had anything!" I didn't see anything resembling that here. Congrats again!

****ING pxf replayer never workshand 389 is a tough spot. Depends a lot on the player who opened what I do there. I think your stack is borderline as to wether you can 3 bet/fold at all. I think you can flat sometimes and even fold sometimes.

I'm interested to see what you guys would do on hand 389.I'm not sure if I like the reraise from the SB? Especially since the raiser is in first position.
This was a very tough spot for me. I was at a previous table right before the final table and he had been very, very aggressive. The table had been playing very tight and I knew he knew this. I was really hoping he would fold, but he didn't. I was on the verge of calling and really thought about it, I mean this was my tourney life and he put me to the test, but at the same time I figured that I could probably get better spots and grind back up. I really, really didn't like folding here. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't scared of getting knocked out, but at the time I thought there were probably better spots to get into.I did think of flatting, which is what I tend to do alot here. But I guess I wanted to show that I wasn't going to be like the rest of the table and get pushed around. So hence the 3 bet, no one really played back at him the whole time. The win actually mattered more to me than the money tbh.

Running sheets tool on itSay he's opening a lot - UTG stealing - say 16%66+,A7s+,A5s,K9s+,Q9s+,JTs,ATo+,KTo+,QJoAnd say he calls your shove with AQ+ and 99+ (5.1%)and the BB calls with JJ+ AK (3%)I get this to be quite a nice reshoveaqreshove.jpg

Hand 72: Why are you re-popping w/ A9 OTB pre-antes? Is this not a good spot to see a flop?I'm the type of player that does not like other players taking control of a table in LP. When it was folded to this guy he had already raised a few pots, so I thought this was a good spot to make a move on him and basically let him know that he would have to go through me to win.Hand 92: LOL @ the guy having KJ...niceI like flatting here because I had position and had a decent hand and player was fairly new to the table. I guess the villain was correct that I was on a flush draw, gg him.Hand 127: I'm assuming the biggest hand of the tournament. Nicely played.tytyty. My brother was sitting here with me and the villain was thinking about it for awhile and I was like "Please have AJ, please have AJ!!"Hand 137: WeeeeeeeI think TJ brought this up in another thread about the range of UTG with only like 5bbs. Yeah, I got lucky. :club: Hand 163: Feel free to lose a race or a 30/70 anytime nowThis was kinda interesting. One, I don't really give UTG raises that much respect lately because the word is that if you raise from UTG you have to have a strong hand. Anyway, the villain raised more than 4xbb, basically pot, so I figured if I got it in we would be racing here, besides, I had chips.Hand 175: Spew OOP?Yes that was. I really thought of 3/betting here because Villains range was sooooo wide. I had a note on him from a previous tournament and it was spot on that he opened up alot when it folded to him. He became a big spew monster at this table and was down to like 10k when he open shoved with 10/8o because he was on tilt. I thought that this hand was a good hand to see a flop with if I caught a nice one and if I hit I could get him to overplay whatever he had. Then I also thought of repopping but that would've led to more of a spew, so I just c/f.Hand 181: How come you didn't open here?Honestly, I think I either went to make a drink or have a cig.Hand 186: Is your standard raise 3xbb here?Actually no. I think I did it because I wanted the players to think it was just a standard steal so I raised more to make it seem like I didn't want someone to come over the top. You know the saying, act strong when you're weak and act weak when you're strong. So I did the opposite.Hand 194: What I find interesting is that you just checked from the BB w/ TT a few hands ago, but then 3-bet to over 4x his min-raise here w/ the same hand. Are you keeping the pot smaller OOP and inflating it because we are in position here? We've talked before about how you like to call with a huge range of hands on the button, is there a reason you deviated from that here?Yeah, this hand caused me a lot of trouble. I mean, one thing I really hate min-raises PF. I don't know if this player could've folded KK on this flop, but after seeing it, I think if he were capable of folding KK I could've probably made him fold this flop. This was poorly played by me, tbh.As for me just checking TT in the blind, I really hate TT and would prefer just to keep the pot small and hopefully hit a set or possibly just c/c depending on the flop.Hand 210: Nicely done. These are the spots you have to pick to win tournaments. Impressive. This is one of those "gut-feelings/reads". I think alot of times players make it waaaaaaay to obvious that you're stealing OTB. He had just won a pot a few hands ago, I think and thought he was really opening wide/stealing, so I went with my gut. Plus he can't really call without a real hand. :tsAlso a good time to point out that if you didn't accumulate early you'd have been way you by now.Huh? A good example of why not to sit on a big stack at really any point in a tournament. Accumulation >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> players getting knocked out, which I know most people that read this thread already know but in case someone doesn't think it's important this is a nice tournament to show how crucial it can be.Hand 219: Shove there is hoping an overpair can't fold? What do you think about c/c on a fairly dry board, and then leading small on the turn? Too obvious strength? If it was a dry board I think I just c/c and wait for villain to catch up or commit himself, but I think alot of cards would kill my action or give villain a stronger hand if they did in fact raise with something goofy. I was hoping my shove looked more like I was pushing a draw on this board and would call if he actually had a hand.Hand 258: Muahahahahahahaha. I think this is moderately standard but still funny.I was really on the fence about this one, I think I had almost 2-1 to call. I know my hand is not great, but I'm not letting someone pull a squeeze on me if I have chips in this pot either. Maybe kinda spewy, well probably, but I'll take it. I think if I wasn't drinking I would've folded, tbh. But I was concentrating on this tournament anyway, I didn't try to to do anything to brash or just real spewy.Hand 282: You have extra large juevoslol. I raised here because I hadn't raised in awhile and I thought this was as good a spot as any to steal, it really didn't matter what my cards were. I already knew before hand that I was raising if folded to me.Hand 286: Another crucial hand. I don't see any reason to fold if you are going to open with this hand, simply because lower pairs are such a huge part of his range. Because lower pairs are part of his range are one of the reasons I did call. I don't try to open too wide UTG, tbh, especially with so many bigger stacks at the table. Other reason why I called was because after I doubled him earlier when he shoved KJss against my A5ss he said in the chat, "ty", so it was nice knocking him out here.Hand 376: That is a sick, sick, sick hold on the FT bubbleI knew I was ahead of what he was raising and I wasn't playing to just make the final table. My whole attitude throughout this tournament was that I was going to win at whatever costs. If I gotta take a coinflip to win, then I'll do it. I try to put people to a decision, not the other way around, which is why I folded that AQ hand against Jagz. I would much rather err on the side of aggression than on the side of caution. I honestly believe you have to have an attitude like that sometimes to win.

Hand 389: Interesting spot. Be curious to see what some of the regs in this thread think about that handExplained in a previous post.Hand 398: WeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeUgly, isn't it. I guess like I mentioned, I was in it to win it and would rather put the decision to the other player. At the previous table he raised OTB and I shoved with TT and he timebanked and really thought about it. He even mentioned that he thought he had me, he finally folded. I showed him my hand was TT. So basically I used that move to my advantage, in hopes that he would fold his hand again because I didn't really want a call here with me holding 22.Hand 400: I may open here. Any reason why you didn't? BB's stack perhaps?Because I already r/f a few hands and had to compose myself and try not to r/f anymore. Trust me, normally I do.Hand 421-424: Here comes the Gallo I love!Other hands: You are running over this table right now, it's lovely to watchI really liked the way I played this final table and I guess that's why I was a little pissed for not winning. Don't get me wrong I loved the cash. But after playing how I did, it kinda sucked to get 2nd. I mean, it wasn't a huge letdown or disheartening. I just thought that the way I played deserved a first.Hand 478: Classic galloamentsI really don't know why I folded this too him. I think I gave him a break because I was just beating up his BB. I raised his BB like everytime. I wasn't going to really stop until he started to play back and even then I kept right back at it.Hand 498: Damn, shoulda been over right thereYes. Sigh. :club: So close, yet so far.Great game man. I think the guy adjusted to you when you got down to 2 (or was just happy to be in the top 2 at that point, who knows) but no serious flaws honestly at all, IMO You ran great a lot and then just ran shitty heads up, it happens. I mean, to save yourself the trouble of calling a 4 bet you could just shove. It seems like a lot of BBs but if he's laggy and probably UTG stealing a lot, it's probably a + EV play.
Personally, I really didn't want to reshove here. He played the hand well, he put me to the test for my tourney life, not the other way around.

Ok, I think alot of people know this, but I don't really know that much of what is explained in the picture. I suck at math/stats.Basically that image looks like this to me when I try to read it:dhlsafholruihiuo vhjbuiwrohgoiwrhg;ld irgopwrpuqewfqu0uj;wiwrj;a

Basically, it's quite a +EV reshove. However it IS for a lot of BBs and I don't think I like doing it either.Essentially to reshove profitably against a LAG UTG who's stealing a lot you probably don't need much.I really don't know what I do here tbh. Maybe I just flat and CRAI if i hit a nice flop - you prob have more of an edge doing that.I'd like to know what some other people think too.

I'd like to know how people would've played hand #47I flopped the nut straight but played it fast. Would anyone have played it differently?

Grinder and I talked about this hand. And I agreed with him in that there were probably better spots for me to accumulate chips. Also as I've mentioned, I'd rather be the one putting the pressure on a player for a decision, not the other way around.

I missed it but I will play just about 100% of big hands pre-antes as fast as possible.

What's funny is that I did get alot of good hands that I didn't really need to play THAT loose. If you did notice when I was down to about 2500 because my set lost to a rivered straight, I got a little bit looser to accumulate some chips and get back in it. On that hand with my set of 2s, I honestly thought I had the best hand because I thought a flush would've bet the river. I didn't expect a straight.

congrats Gallo.looking at a few hands...389 fold pre391 I don't like raise folding with 20 bb's. BB seems like a good target in this case but of course Jagz can see that too. I think worth a shot to raise on balance.398 has to be -$ev without any fold equity. The previous hand you mentioned was very different. You had close to 20bb's and losing to you would have meant bubbling the final table for him essentialy. Anyway you were in a spot where you had to gamble sooner or later so can't blame you and I have done itmany times myself.

congrats Gallo.thanxlooking at a few hands...389 fold preI don't think I could ever fold this hand preflop to someone who has been this aggro. I think, I would've been better off flatting tbh. I don't mind being OOP with this hand and taking a flop because I'm either c/f or crai. That's why after the hand played I think my best option probably should have been flat-calling.391 I don't like raise folding with 20 bb's. BB seems like a good target in this case but of course Jagz can see that too. I think worth a shot to raise on balance.I've done this plenty of times and don't mind c/f with 20bbs or less. This table was tight enough that I could do this and accumulate chips elsewhere.398 has to be -$ev without any fold equity. The previous hand you mentioned was very different. You had close to 20bb's and losing to you would have meant bubbling the final table for him essentialy. Anyway you were in a spot where you had to gamble sooner or later so can't blame you and I have done itmany times myself.I knew I didn't have much FE, but I also felt that there was a slight chance, because of a previous hand, he would fold, plus I thought I was ahead and would be racing if he called. I was actually kinda surprised he didn't snap-call this hand. He actually time-banked before finally making a call. It seemed that alot of people at this table were playing to move up in the money and didn't want to get knocked out, I wasn't trying to move up ITM really, even though I did fold that AQ hand.
Oh if anyone knows Jagz, can someone ask him about that 389 hand cause it really kills me not knowing. lol

Gallo, 3 bet/folding AQ suited there is close to very bad... the reason being that you are 3 betting for value.. and then folding as if you were bluffing. You need to have a plan going into these kinds of spots so that you dont get caught off guard. I know it becomes alot difficult when there is alot of $ on the line etc. I tend to fold preflop in these spots although I think I like calling the best of the 3 options and playing for stacks if we hit top pair or a flush draw.
Armen you should post in here more often, the more input we can get from solid tourney players the better.
+1 to this... you're one of the few on here that regs that 100r's and up... post more plzzzz
