SilentButDeadly3 0 Posted February 18, 2008 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Basically, I had a $5k propbet with 10:1 odds (meaning I win I get $50k), that involves this poker forum, FCP. I'm not a very well known contributor here, I'm sarcastic in a majority of my posts but occasionally I'll answer seriously. I'm primarily a cash game player/SNG player (which contributes to my anonymity) but I play a donkament or two now and then, but being in college it's kinda hard to find the time. Anyways, when I made the bet I thought it was money in the bank. There were 3 stages all with substages and the flowchart can be found here (FWIW, if it's not listed, I get 7 days to do it and unlimited amount of posts):I bought out for $3k today and just had to say, I hate you all for not helping me. The other bettor even let me "ask for help" in the first stage and no one helped me because he knew if I asked, no one would. LFT I guess I helped resurrect the "check box" with that thread as the use of checkboxes increased like crazy after that. But, unfortunately, we agreed it didn't count for my last one of "starting a trend" because I wasn't on the 3rd Stage and I was just resurrecting a trend. SIGHHHHHHHHH.FWIW, after I lost Stage 1, I tried to overuse the checkbox thing, but it obv wasn't working when everyone was using it. I then tried to overuse something else, that I can't think of right now, but it didn't work. Then I tried to overuse the Gib/Baxter switch and that obv wasn't working. And then I lost Stage 2 tonight and just bought out because:A.) if I can't even get flamed by 5 FCPers, I won't be able to create a trendandB.) The buyout included me not having to switch my avatar and signature to those of gay pornstars for the next 6 months like if I had lost straight up.The person who pwned me can step forward if they want, because for some reason they wanted to remain anonymous. Basically, to anyone who knows me, I'm a really honest guy and I would feel horrible about it if I cheated a friend out of $$ and would probly end up shipping back the $$ and my $5k too and be out whatever I gave others. The other guy trusted me enough to do this. I did seriously consider cheating after getting owned in Stage 1, but didn't, obviously as I got 0 people to flame me. I still think this would be an easy bet, had I put more time/thought into it, but I didn't. SighhhhhhhhhhAnd yeah getting banned would've been ridiculously easy, basically post 20 porn threads and I think it would've covered it.
