donk4life 34
Hmmm.. 2 red x's.. All in imo.Edit: I'd fold.. Blinds aren't enormously high, I mean this is basically a racing hand, and more often than not you're dominated...

AimHigher 0
You lose a crapload of equity if the shortstack doubles through you. You're going to switch stacks with him. Just fold.
Kaveros 0
Q hi never figures to be the best hand, ever. The blinds are not so sevear, fold here, pick your spots to steal some chips. You never need to risk chips here when you can pick them up later.
copernicus 0
the breakeven point is for him to push with about a range of the top 50% of hands. If hes looser (not likely) call, otherwise fold.
craiger 0
The hand looks pretty, but it's too prone to domination. Fold.

jmbreslin 0
Good to hear.I was actually the villain on this hand and I pushed according to the push-bot chart (can't remember off the top of my head what I had, but it may have been a weak Ace). Villain called and hit his Queen to knock me out. My first reaction was that it was a stupid call for him to make, but then I started to wonder whether QTs might be borderline. I see a lot of these calls at this level and I think the fact that I've been getting burned by them lately has made me start to question how stupid they really are.So let's move the discussion in the following direction. One of my big weaknesses is defending my BB - I have a really hard time deciding when my hand is strong enough to call a push from a short SB. If I were in fact Hero in this hand I would have folded the QTs, but what is the worst hand would you need to make the call? Would KQ be enough? Any Ace?
outsider13 0
Everybody wants to defend their blinds, but you really can't take stealing personally. If I notice that somebody is trying to steal too often, I'll wait for a good hand and reraise a significant amount. That usually slows them down if they are stealing with nothing. If you try to trap with small or middle pairs by just calling raises, you may be forced to fold a big bet on the flop. Overprotection of blinds, especially at early levels when it's not too important, was a huge hole in my game until I just let it go. Just make sure you steal your fair share. As for the way this hand played, yeah, any Ace, KQ is pretty good if they've been overly aggressive, any pair, make the call. I would have folded that QT considering the stack sizes.
