pt special 0
I'm 100% certain there is more to his decision than thinking he got taken for $11. It may have put him on tilt last night and he over-reacted, but if he really quits poker, he was going to quit anyway.i think he was hinting to that he doesnt like what poker has made him and how he reacts and how his mood changes when things go badly in poker, which i can relate too. hope that he clams down and is able to regather himself after some time off and when he comes back hes able to control the emotional swings that come with poker

XTraCey 0
I no longer enjoy the game. And as I tell my children, enjoy what you do.... life is too short to do otherwise. This forum, and the members, was the only thing keeping me at the game.Unfortunately, that is not enough anymore. Time to move on to other things.Best of luck to all of you in the future. May all your hands hold up.you know what, i went thru this same exact feeling where i just didnt enjoy the game anymore. but instead of trying to quit, like i have done so soooooo many times i n the past, i finally took on some other activities that i enjoy and just gave poker a lil break.now, i didnt say goodbye to poker completely - it's too hard to when ur constantly surrounded by it like i am, or love it as much as i do. so instead of quitting, i just added more things to my list of hobbies ie. working out and going to the gym, cooking, etc.one of the hardest things for a poker player to learn is that 'balance' is key. its so easy to allow urself to be consumed, especially in poker. so i would suggest u just put poker on the back burner and do something else with ur time, until the day u really feel up to some poker again. the last thing this community needs is for another great member to leave. I totally agree on poker consuming you. I never noticed how much time I was putting into it, until I went broke and realized wtf am I gonna do now? It was an empty couple weeks, but poker shouldn't be your life. The worst thing you can do is mope, once you move on, you will gain your love for the game again and your results should improve when you really want to play.
