Super Satellites For Shooting Stars Event

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there are any cheap satellites where it be live or online for the Bay 101 shooting Stars Event? By cheap, I mean under $100, probably something like $40 or so.I love going there, but I never play in the event because I can't really afford it. So, after seeing and meeting the Stars, after an hour or so after that tournament starts, I usually get depressed because I'm not playing in that tournament. :club:

Since they limit the field to 250 every year due to limited space (although they usually accept alternates), there are not very many cheap satellites to be found. A few years back Stars ran some 30r sats, not sure if they will do the same this year. If I were you, I'd email Stars/FTP and ask if they will be running any satellites to the event. Online would be your best shot at finding a 'cheap' satellite, but like I said they don't usually run many.In regards to live satellites, I don't think Bay 101 runs anything less then 100 + rebuys to the event. Check their website for the schedule of satellites: bay101.com

to add to what Patrick said, you could always try a FTP 12k winners choice tourney. Here's how: You can win a $24+2 token for as low as $4.40, and play in a sat with that $26 token that will give you a seat in the $200+16 tourney 12k winners choice, and then win your seat in that tourney. I don't know if the Bay 101 is on the list of tournies you can get into from this tourney, but this is the only way I know to get into a random WPT event.gl

I love going there, but I never play in the event because I can't really afford it. So, after seeing and meeting the Stars, after an hour or so after that tournament starts, I usually get depressed because I'm not playing in that tournament. :club: I was hoping to suggesting having satellites for it, and preferably step tournaments. I loved those so much. I still have a PCA step ticket and am waiting for when I can use it again. Next year, maybe? Anyways, please take that into consideration and let me know what the current future plans are.----------End of email-----------As you can see, it was a very generic reply and was added with the fact they completely ignored the second part of my message. Oh well. However, I did check out FTP and look up the info for the Winner's Choice promotion and found this on their web site:"Play in our next Winner’s Choice qualifier to claim your seat in any of the following events:WPT World Poker Open at the Gold Strike Casino - January 20th WPT Borgata Poker Classic - January 27th WPT LA Poker Classic - February 23rd WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars - March 10th WPT Foxwoods Poker Classic - April 4th EPT German Open - January 29th EPT Scandinavian Open - February 19th EPT Polish Open - March 11th "So, yeah, it does look like the Shooting Stars event is on there. Guess, I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the suggestions.
