Acid_Knight 2
I only wandered into this thread because I saw the topic title in the main board and assumed it was a Cobalt thread. The hand looks pretty standard and I think a turn 3-bet sucks big time.
FCP Bob 1,321
I would usually just call the turn raise as well unless the player is a total maniac and not just ultra aggressive preflop. Some of the Euro-tards I've played with at On Game I would cap the turn and river with but with most players I would do exactly what you did.
Zach6668 513
We don't beat very much on this turn. At least not a lot of hands that will call down if we 3-bet, ie a bluff. It's like rarely a bluff, too.I just get to SD as cheap as possible, unless I hit a K or an A.
checkymcfold 0
i probably play it the same. i MIGHT consider 3towning the turn, but that would be so player dependent that i couldn't advise it in general.

mikeysong 0
uh wtfi pop turn. If the games are half as aggressive as a year ago, I for sure 3town the turn. Does he play QQ/JJ or even KQ/KJ like this? I put him more on a draw than anything.gay river.

Does he play QQ/JJ or even KQ/KJ like this? mikeysong 0
i don't think he's making a super huge play on us w/ a T (with absolutely ZERO fold equity) often enough for this to be profitable.so he's slowplaying the flop with a hand ahead of ours on a very coordinated board that most likely hits our range? navybuttons 15
so he's slowplaying the flop with a hand ahead of ours on a very coordinated board that most likely hits our range?more often than he's making a play here w/ a naked 10 i think.
checkymcfold 0
am i the only one that said b/c turn because we want him to keep bluffing most of the time?i honestly do think we're ahead here more often than we're behind. i just don't know what is really going to call us down that we beat if we 3town unless he's bad. checkymcfold 0
same amount of bets when we're ahead. -2BB when we're behind. unless villain is making this turn play w/ KT, K8 or K9.i would raise the river if the ten draw didn't hit.the main point, though, is that i don't think that many hands we beat can actually call down a 3bet, despite the fact that i think we're ahead based on his description of the villain, who seems to be the type that would keep firing aq, q10, etc, here. i would need a TOTAL donkey villain to 3bet this turn. i do think calling because we might be beat is misguided, though. unless, of course, i'm misunderstanding how cobalt is describing the villain.\
CobaltBlue 662
From my impression of the villain, he was a pre-flop maniac, but he showed some semblance of caution post-flop.I think I was just questioning my play based on the fact that he showed down K7o. =/
navybuttons 15
I think I was just questioning my play based on the fact that he showed down K7o. =/i didn't think K7 was in the range. i would think K8 would be the weakest of the made hands we were ahead of. if we know his hand is a made hand on the turn, there's more possible made hand combinations that we are behind than we are ahead of. looshle 6
you played it fine, just ul he had one of the few hands he does this that you can possibly beat. 3 betting the turn is bad because he is clearly not afraid of 3 kings, and i cant see folding to a cap here. also if he is randomly bluffing, you cant give him a reason to stop
Bubba83 0
You said SB was the agro machine preflop, not BB!!! With this new info, I lean toward 3 betting the turn since his hand range is so big, and a flopped set is not as likely in his 3 betting preflop range.
