Nevada Caucus Tonight

Recommended Posts

All you Vegas pros don't forget to vote. "I think the government's role should not be involved in personal habits. When you defend freedom, you defend freedom of choice, and you can't be picking and choosing how people use those freedoms . . .whether it's personal behavior or economic behavior, I want people to have freedom of choice."-Ron Paul

For those of you who do not live in the future, the Nevada Caucus is tomorrow, Saturday, the 19th of Jan.
Clearly, you don't understand how Vegas pros' days work. :club: Yeah, sorry. I got that wrong.

All the focus on "electibility" and speculation on who will win distracts us from our important civil duty of voting for the person we think is best. Who gives a crap who other people are voting for?
“I come in peace,” it said, adding after a long moment of further grinding, “take me to your Lizard.” …”It comes from a very ancient democracy, you see…” “You mean, it comes from a world of lizards?” “No,” said Ford, who by this time was a little more rational and coherent than he had been, having finally had the coffee forced down him, “nothing so simple. Nothing anything like so straightforward. On its world, the people are people. The leaders are lizards. The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people.” “Odd,” said Arthur, “I though you said it was a democracy.” “I did,” said Ford. “It is.” “So,” said Arthur, hoping he wasn’t sounding ridiculously obtuse, “why don’t the people get rid of the lizards?” “It honestly doesn’t occur to them,” said Ford. “They’ve all got the vote so they all pretty much assume that the government they’ve voted in more or less approximates to the government they want.” “You mean they actually vote for the lizards?” “Oh yes,” said Ford with a shrug, “of course.” “But,” said Arthur, going for the big one again, “why?” “Because if they didn’t vote for a lizard,” said Ford, “the wrong lizard might get in. Got any gin?” “What?” “I said,” said Ford, with an increasing air of urgency creeping into his voice, “have you got any gin?” “I’ll look. Tell me about the lizards.” Ford shrugged again. “Some people say that the lizards are the best thing that ever happened to them,” he said. “They’re completely wrong of course, completely and utterly wrong, but someone’s got to say it.”

I lived through Perot twice;I don't want another Do-nothing Clinton during this time of world terrorism.we can pretend that voting for the best man is possible, but let's get some local races won before we throw up the big prize for this experiment.I will hold my nose and vote for the republican nominee. ( with 3 of my votes, one has to go Obama )Although during caucus time, being in California means I never had much say anyway since by the time our vote gets in, the winner is decided. This year MAY be different in which case I will vote for Thompson or Hunter.

Why isn't it? Because you aren't running? :-)Eventually this thread's title will be correct.
