Phil Ivey - Mistaken Identity

Recommended Posts

A Current Affair (An Australian news program) just had a story on the Aust Open Tennis. They were hanging around the entrance to Crown where all the big names are staying. They interviewed 'James Blake' as he was heading off in a hire car and asked him how the tourny was going etc etc.Trouble was, the guy was Phil Ivey, here for the Aussie Millions at Crown.I'm guessing Nine still has NFI they weren't talking to James Blake. The reporter was talking about the tourny (Aust Open) and Ivey was answering for his tourny (Aussie Millions). At one point they asked if he did anything to prepare for a big event like this one and he answered, not much, just play a bit of golf.A few minutes into the interview, Ivey realizes whats going on and just walks off. Pretty racist if you ask me!Nothing on youtube yet, i will keep looking and post again if i have any luck.

Not very many black guys play tennis... Kinda like seeing a black golfer and thinkin it was Tiger. I think that is what the OP was getting at.
I saw a black golfer once and thought it was Tiger, and I'm not a racist.Kid was wearing a red Nike shirt and black pants in Florida in August, so I'm pretty sure he thought he was Tiger too.

Looks like a Benz-McLaren, is it?Love those cars, I can't think of much else I'd like to do with $400k. Except buy my dream house, put all my kids through college, and bet it all on black (see? I'm no racist), of course.

If a black person mistook me for another white person that wouldnt be racist. Just like mistaking a black person for another black person isnt racist.

That's different though, we all look alike.

Mistaken identity is a common thing between races.White people cant distinguish black peoples features as well as they could another white person. A black person cant distinguish facial features between asian people etc. Obviously everyone can notice facial features but its a lot harder when its someone outside of our race. They found this out due to doing police lineups, when someone was attacked by a person from a different race they often picked the wrong person in the lineup or didnt have a clue.So no, its not racist

Has anybody consulted Al Sharpton yet to see if it was racist?...
Do people really consult Al Sharpton? I always thought he just flew off the handle all by himself.
