BASTARD!!! I wanted to start this thread!!LOL we started talking about this in the other thread.But I think they wanted current all stars because nobody really remembers the guy who fell into the fire except for hardcore survivor fans... notice nobody was brought back prior to season 8 I think.

That's why I put that thing about Mike in the OP, because I realized that they once again totally ignored all the awesome people in the earlier seasons.

I'm pretty sure Mike turned down a chance to appear on Survivor all-stars. He underwent a pretty big change after the accident.

Great NewsCBS Greenlights More Survivor January 29, 2008CBS and Mark Burnett Productions have pacted on a deal that will keep "Survivor" on the network through at least spring 2009, says Variety.CBS has greenlit two more seasons of the reality warhorse. The deal will take the show through its 18th edition.In addition, "Survivor" host Jeff Probst has signed a deal to continue as host.While "Survivor" has suffered ratings erosion in recent years, the series' most recent edition still won its 8 p.m. Thursday time period in viewers and all key demos, despite fierce competition. It averaged 15.2 million viewers and earned a 5.1/14 among adults 18-49.The 16th edition of "Survivor," featuring a battle between fans of the show and past stars, premieres Feb. 7.Casting has already begun for the 17th cycle of "Survivor."http://www.comingsoon.net/news/tvnews.php?id=41431

I thought I remember Survivor signing a deal to do a season in British Columbia...Anyone know what happened with that?

According to Probst who was on the Wrap Up Show after Stern this morning he is signed on for 2 more YEARS which means 4 more seasons. His words.
