Pretty pathetic that either side can't come up with a good candidate.
You and I can agree on this. Are we really that desperate that we need the 50% hated Hillary, a multi-millionair lawyer that got rich off of Class action scams, and a too young inexperienced person to run against:A disfavored senator, a mediocre governor from one of the poorest states that has never produced ANYONE of substance, a mormon with perfect hair, an actor that doesn't really think he should have to work and a guy that is making Ross Perot make sense?I say we go back to a monarchy. at least there we get a 50/50 chance of having a good guy.

None of them will win.You could make Hitler the Democrat nominee, and he would still beat anyone the Republicans will put up.
I thought you said she got 3rd?

First order of business...pay cuts for congress, then extended leaves. They can do a lot less damage if they are not allowed to work. Then we kill all the lawyersHello online poker, with a BG controlled doomswitchThen we kill the lawyers again just in caseThen we need to get rid of some of those nukes we have.Iran? Darfur? or Canada?

About 10000 times more successful than if Gore would have won!
Just curious when people say stuff like this.......how we are viewed by the rest of the world and therefore their interaction with us......is that ever any part of the thought process in what determines success for the country?

Of course it is, even though it may be a very small part for most people. There's no denying that it's bad for Americans if everyone else hates us.

Republican winner Mike Huckabee........a former Arkansas governor and ordained Baptist minister. My Republican friend tells me he has no chance of getting the nomination but I am skeptical. How does online poker run so bad?
havent read the whole thread, but live in iowa, and csi kept getting interrupted with updates, and one of them said that Mitt Romney spent 20 times more money in iowa than huckabee spent. just putting that out there for you.

OK, so CNN now has him saying he's staying in. Not that it matters, he has as much chance as I do of being nominated.
LOL that you think CNN is right about anything

Unless they managed to screw up a direct quote from his campaign manager, or his campaign manager is lying through his teeth ... they're just reporting what they've been told here. But yeah, CNN is generally crap anyway.

I do think it matters quite a bit what the rest of the people in their countries think of us.
I traveld alot this summer, I never once got anything but normal treatment everywhere I went. The whole the world hates us line started with the Onion and took on a life of it's own.For the most part every country loves us. After all, we spend all our money on a large army to keep the world safe, freeing them up to spend money on failed social programs that will one day bankrupt their countries, why wouldn't they love us?

I'm not a Huckabee fan but I must say you are dead wrong here. If he wins the nomination I'd say he's 50/50 to TID vs any Dem.Also, there is one REPUBLICAN that will save online poker...his name is Ron Paul.
I have to say that I never looked into Ron Paul; however when I did see him appear on the Bill Mahar show , I seen the crowd of super progressive liberal lovers stand up and give that man a standing ovation... He then started to scare me... :DI have heard parts of some of his speeches, his thoughts about our economy are dead on; that’s never going to change though... My belief is that its not what the bushs, clintons, hucklebees and obamas do, its what the NWO (secret government) wants/does... Its all around, they want to destroy the American dollar to introduce the Amero ( North American Alliance ) currency... Most people are just to stuck in their own world to see this....Also his foreign policy is crazy.... Pull out of everywhere because we are the ones who cause violence in the middle eastern region... In some ways, yes that is true, but to say pulling out of all countries is the answer to all our problems, a very big mistake.... think 9/11...
I didn't say they are completely successful in getting everything they want shoved through but come on, you think I am wrong? Then what is it?Edit: The fact that McCain isn't a slam dunk Republican nominee tells you exactly how powerful the religious right is.
Well, I am Christian, but not a far right loon, but for the majority of my beliefs, they are upheld by the right; but that’s besides the point, of this highlighted comment, the state that your referring to is largely a Christian based state, so it makes perfect sense that Hucklebee is favored over other nominees...Personally I feel that most of the people running for 08 is not what the country needs... but then again why would it matter when most of them, the ones that will win, are from a secret society... a.k.a. masons, Bilderbergers, rockerfellers, Rothschilds, CFR, Bohemian Grove, Skull and Bones and so on... :club:
