Has Anyone Been To Any Of These Casinos?

Camel Rock in Santa FeSandia in AlbuquerqueCities of Gold in Santa FeRoute 66 in AlbuquerqueFireLake in Shawnee OKCherokee CasinoIf so would you recommend a weekend poker trip to that casino? Also if you know of another poker room in the area that is better let me know. I'm basically looking for a good 24hr room most rooms that I have found die about midnight.

I have been to Firelake. It is pretty good. But there is nothing else to do in the town except the casino. I don't think the poker room is open all night though. You might want to look at Riverwind in Norman, OK. It is newer and I think bigger. The best bet in Oklahoma is the Cherokee in Tulsa. Scotty Nguyen(sp) is using it for his home casino now. It is super nice.

There is another in Durant, OK. About 1 hour north of Dallas. It is the Choctaw Casino. I guess that would be my home casino. I have played there all night more than once. The 1/2 NL is very soft.

I have been to Sandia, a pretty nice place and perhaps the best one in NM. Nice golf course and spa on the property as well. Poker room is around 20 tables or so with NL, Omaha and various limit games. Not many tourney's if I remember correctly. I played straight through till about 8am and the room was still fairly busy.

I was at Sandia over the new year.1/2NL-the tables are pretty tight/solid. 2/5NL-this game has only gone once while I was there.2/4LHE-I don't know why anyone would play this.4/8LHE-Just like the 2/4 tables. Very loose, 6 people to the flop to a raised pot.10/20LHE w/half kill- Just like the 4/8 tables and there is no way you can possibly lose if you play TAG. Probably the best deal in NM.15/30LHE w/half kill- Just like the 10/20LHE but only goes on the weekends.4/8 O8- good if you want to play omaha. Impossible to lose if you only play premium starting hands.

Cherokee in Tulsa is the best indian casino I've ever been to. They serve cheap drinks, and the rooms rival most vegas hotels.Edit: Winstar is a bunk ass place but the poker room usually has good action.

If you hit up Route 66 here in Burque, please let me know how it is? I've lived in Burque for about a year now and haven't had a chance to go to any of the casinos. There is also the Santa Ana Star casino in Bernalillo (about 10-15 minutes away from Sandia) and Isleta Casino that have poker rooms. They are only open 24 hours on the weekends though.Nando

I've heard Rt 66 is the place to go to play 2/5NL. Santa Ana sucks compared to Sandia. They have the same 1/2NL and 2/4, 4/8LHE. One thing I should mention is that you can't drink anywhere but the bar in a NM casino.
Do you have to be 21 in New Mexico casinos?
yes
