66 - Curious How I Should Best Proceed

Recommended Posts

Whenever I flop a set in these situations I ALWAYS donk into the PFR if I'm oop. Your main objective on this flop now that you flopped a set is you need to make a bet that will get raised by the PFR if they have any of the hands you hope they have (basically AK or AA). I would bet $55-60. At this point you need to PRAY that the TAG on the button raises you behind with Aces or AK. Donking into PFR when you flop sets is how you get them committed when they feel they need to reraise the flop. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Then again, whenever I flop a set in these situations, I always wind up running into set over set. Good luck :club:
i would go with something around those lines....u dont need to bet big, and by betting 55 u only have 130 left in ur stack that you are gonna wanna get in, and your going to be getting value from any sort of draws, and any top pair hand isnt going to be able to fold, and u prolly get a call from qq and jj once with a donk lead

Just found an interesting way to play this from a 2+2 thread.Bet somethings stupidly small on the flop, the PF raiser thinks either "I missed the flop, but this guy is bettin 1/4 the pot? I can't fold" or "I missed the flop, but this guy is betting 1/4 the pot? I'm gonna raise him up" Or "I hit the flop, i'm gonna raise this guy"If he raises you shove obv, but if he just calls...Bet something small like 1/4 the pot again on the turn, and the guy thinks "I missed the flop but the guy bet so small i had to call, now he's betting tiny again, i can't give this up can i? I'm gonna bluff-raise him" Phil Galfond calls this the Root Beer, i thought it was awesome. Someone's gona say betting small gives him good odds, but it doesn't, if he's got two diamonds in his hand he's definitely going to raise you and you can 3-bet shove and if he's got an inside straight draw he isn't getting the right odds anyway.

How do you all play button's hand on this flop?

What hands could he have though when he calls on the flop? What would we be called by that we can beat on the turn?
AA, AK, to name a couple.
I think that it is fairly unlikely the button shows a flush here. So unlikely in fact, that I'd probably bet the pot and call a shove.

How do you all play button's hand on this flop?
I'm not sure to be honest. I think I'm not folding if hero is loose at all, and I'm not really sure I'd be folding ever anyway. But it is 200bbs, so I guess the shove does look incredibly strong.
