2007 Five Diamond World Poker Classic (wpt) Day 4

Recommended Posts

What is it about this tournament that you excel year after year? I know its deeper stacks than alot of other tourneys but the WPT Championship is deeper and you havent had the results there. Is it the time of year? You have had alot of success is winter tourneys in December, January. Well anyway GL and TID.

I call b.s. on this. Not that you didn't see it but that Gus is legitly dressing on his way into the room. No matter where he's coming from there's a cab ride or an elevator ride that would be more than long enough to get your shirt buttoned. Seems like this is becoming Gus' bit like Hellmuth's late arrivals. Either that or he's got some freaky exhibitionist thing going on.Oh and GL DN TID.
LOL!All I have to say is I will fall asleep tonight with visions of a fairly pale, relativly hairy, Hanson six pack (almost 8 pack) dancing in my head....I'm sure someone will verify that this did indeed happen. Brunson was at his table and he and a few others ribbed him pretty good. Gus was beat red.

PSU wasn't calling BS on you seeing it happen Nuts, he was calling BS on the fact that Gus couldn't have had time on the way to the poker room to get fully buttoned up. I tend to agree, esp. since Gus has done it at least once before. Nobody takes that long to dress themselves from their room and down the elevator. The only other possibility is that Gus was riding up a Poker Bunny on the ride down from his room which is def. not out of the realm of possibilities.

Congratulations! It sure is nice to have such a big chip stack with 18 players left. I 'm asking myself the question, which gear should I be in when play resumes if I were in your shoes? It would be nice to go to the final table the chip leader but at the same time you do not want to risk getting sucked out on and getting knocked down to 1 mil plus. Pick on the short stacks only? Play tight or use the big chip stack to force people to fold on turn? Man that's a tough one for me. I would think in the beginning people will be playing alot tighter trying to make the final table which would make it easier to win pots without showing. When I say final table I mean final 10 players even though for tv it's 6 players.Hope you win

It's a great question, who knows. My best guess is that shortly after the WSOP many players take a month or two off to recoup. As usual October & November was a thin schedule for Daniel, his last tournament was in October and for the next couple months he's probably good & fresh with lots of focus.GL Daniel, TID!!

No problem, should be good. Can't wait to see how things play out tomorrow, hopefully favorably for DN!
Do you, or anyone else, happen to know if WPT FTs are broadcast live anywhere online? I assume no video, but maybe radio? So I could hear whats going on rather than refreshing cardplayer every few minutes.
