Lolli 0
Right click on the word or excel icon and select properties. That will give you the location of the application and you can search it out in the "open with" tool.Lol, location is pinned to the start menu.if you have the disc you can reinstall office, that will fix it.I cant find the disc. Is there a way to "go back" to an earlier point? I mean, I know there is, but I have no idea how. This started back in August and I've been dealing with it since then. Is that too far back? I guess its not a HUGE issue other than it irritates and frustrates the hell out of me because I have no idea what I did.
vbnautilus 48
Also, what the hell is Java??Java is a place in Indonesia where in 1891 they discovered a set of 700,000 year old fossilized bones which disproves Balloon Guy's entire world view.In addition to being the location of a discovery that completely invalidated everything Balloon Guy believes in, Java is known for its coffee production, and over time the word "Java" came to refer to coffee itself. Given the lively, energetic associations with coffee, Java was chosen as the name of a programming language that was designed to allow developers to write a single set of code that could run on any kind of computer platform (e.g. mac, PC, linux, etc.). Each of those different kinds of computers has a Java "virtual machine" which can interpret that single set of code and make it run on that particular computer. The slogan was "write once, run anywhere".

Balloon guy 158
Lol, how do you think I created the files in the first place?? But I was removing programs and I may have unintentionally removed something i shouldnt have. Yet.. Im still able to go into Word and Excel and created documents, I just cant open them from anywhere else other than within Word or Excel. Did you used to have a Mac?Cause I never try to open a file, I open the program and then choose the file.It seems to be a Mac thing to want to bypass the first step.

ShakeZuma 585
does resetting your router also delete any firmware updates that you've made?I ask because the last time I was down here at my parents, I updated their firmware and it fixed the problem of my computer constantly losing the connection, but it also deleted their router name and password, so I added that back this time. but in doing so, I had to reset a couple of times, and now I got the name and password back, but my computer is losing connection constantly again. May depend on how you reset the router. Try updating it again imo.

I reset it for a full 30 seconds, which it seemed according to the website to be different than the regular 5 second job, so maybe that was it. I'd do it again, but i'd have to reset it again, re-download the firmware and do all that loading, then redo the name and password, then resave and rewrite all that stuff out for my parents, and well, I'm leaving tomorrow, so fuck it. works fine for them so i don't care enough I guess. I was mainly just curious.p.s. I hate linksys
ShakeZuma 585
well look at that, I was the last person to post in here! wonder if I got that fixed? anywho... I'm not really in the market right now, but I'm sure I will be within the next year or so for a new computer, and my question is this: does anybody make laptops that have really good speakers in them? like stock speakers in the computer that are actually loud and sound good? BillyPilgrim 1
there's a funny joke on 'Parks and Rec' where Leslie is sick and as she is leaving, Andy says, "hey Les, i typed your symptoms into the computer and it says you have internet connec-tivity issues." just the way he says it is really funny. and the idea too.
