women are the absolute worst when it comes to greatly over exaggerating any little bruise that happens. not saying the op didn't get messed up; i'm sure he did. you hit a woman at 2mph and she wants to be hospitalized for a week, take 3 weeks off work to recover and sue the guy for a millioni've seen several do it.also was on a jury where a woman sued a guy for $100,000. we saw pics of the car and the back end was mildly dented. all the dumb women on the jury wanted to give this white trash woman the full amount. the men held out and won. we gave her $600btw-- one of the reasons health insurance premiums are sky high is because of people like rivergirl who demand that all the most expensive tests are done when not necessary

First of all, sorry to hijack this post but....i got rear ended by a MAN who was driving 65km in a fullsized pickup and hit my little compact that was at a complete STOP. I had been misdiagnosed for a year and a half before any doctor thought about sending me for any sort of tests. By the time they were ready to test, the arthritis was so bad, they couldn't see the original damage. I now have to live with this the rest of my life. I don't complain, i go to work everyday and do everything humanly possible despite the severe pain. I didn't know at the time I should be requesting all the tests that were necessary. I followed my doctors' instructions to the letter and it did me no good. My accident was in no way minor nor did i sue the guy for millions. I realize there are alot of people who try to take advantage of the situation, unfortunately, i'm not one of them. I'm saying, living like this is not fun at all. There may have been better options for me had they diagnosed it properly the first time and it's better to be safe than sorry. It's the op's health we're talking about. It's not something that should be brushed off. Living with chronic pain is by no means enjoyable. BTW, i'm willing to bet there aren't very men who could take a month of cramps gracefully, let alone give birth.

Tough break, glad you're ok. Had the same thing happen to me 3 years ago and am still in physical therapy. Herniated a disc in my neck and still have whiplash effects from it. Make sure you get a MRI.

LOL. Forgot about that redneck biker story.I know a dealer here (Claudia) who got rear ended on a freeway. She slowed almost to a stop for traffic and was hit at over 70 miles an hour. The guy never braked. He was also on his cell phone.Normally she has her 2 small kids with her in the back seat but did not on the day she was hit.The rear seat ended up as her head rest. She woke up in the hospital 3 hours later messed up good. Her lawyer is talking +300K. She just wants her neck and back to stop hurting.

I'd give back my settlement money from being hit by a drunk driver if I could have my old back, back. (I don't have it anymore because it paid for school, but I would borrow it at 24.99% interest to get my old back, back.)
