Blinds : 100/200, 25 anteI'm in the BB with 7 2 and a stack of 4200UTG, chipleader with 4700 chips limpsButton foldsSB limps and has a stack of 2700Both players have been pretty tight and fairly aggressiveI have played 2 hands so far this entire SNGPot: 700 chipsFlop comes down, 2 8 10 :spade:SB pots it. What do I do?
Jam-Fly 8
Is SB short stack? I think you gotta push here. You still gotta bit of fold equity and your hand is quite strong. I think a push is quite standard, and I'm guessing you did that but UTG woke up with a set? If that happend, tough luck and move on
Temporary Nuts 1
Yes, SB is the shortie
craiger 0
It's a painful spot but I agree...you probably should push here. A simple raise won't get rid of him, since he's basically told you he's committed to the pot. And if he happens to have a set, you still have clean outs.
Jam-Fly 8
btw, your hand is one of the most powerful hands you can have in NLHE. There is no one hand that has you crushed. IE no one can have a pair AND a flush draw. So either your paid is good, or your flush draw is.Unless it's something like one player has AsJs and the other has 888, thatd suck but theres nothing you can do

Jariso13 1
I assume that you have more chips than the SB. I wouldn't mind just calling here and seeing the turn. He might freeze up and check the turn if an over comes out giving you another shot at your outs. If you shove I think he calls with most 10s just because he'll be under 2000 chips and the players in the lower SnGs have trouble getting away from a hang when they have committed what they feel is a lot of chips. biff_goods 0
9J of spades would be a pretty devastating hand for SB to have right here.....you are stealing three of his outs though....by my count leaves him with.....3 9's3 J's2 7's3 Q's6 spades17 ways for him to get you to post a bad beat thread. Oh and I guess the board could pair 8's and 10's
Hiles Mall 0
He does not have a set, you can count on that. he most likely is overplaying top pair, like most people do online. i push.

TY guys :)Also... it annoys me that you guys think I'd just post a "Bad Beat Thread". I posted this on another forum, which tends to be conservative on the bubble, and not only was I getting a lot of people to tell me to call, but several to dump it SMHFairly standard exercise for most over here though

Like, if you push, and he has top set, your still in about as good shape as you can be against top set.
NEtwowilldo 0
pot is 700 and everyone agrees shoving 7x the pot is clear?Huh?
LJB723 0
pot is 700 and everyone agrees shoving 7x the pot is clear?Huh?Pot is 1400 after SB's bet, leaving him 2000 back. Pot would be 2700 if hero just calls, SB will then shove any turn and if it's a brick for us we have to fold. Getting it in now is the right thing to do, SB isn't committed yet but would be on the turn I think. Also Jam's reasoning is spot-on, no hand can have us crushed and we have clean outs vs top-set.
