AimHigher 0
Ok, so I had played with Villain before, about a month ago.I had made notes and they stated that he had C-Bet the flop when he missed, and had also limped from UTG+1 with a pair of sevens. Also he had passed on an opportunity to steal when we were blind vs blind in the session we had played in.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)UTG ($10.13)UTG+1 ($4.92)MP1 ($5.93)Hero ($4.68)MP3 ($11.43)CO ($10.70)Button ($14.64)SB ($4.53)BB ($14.96)Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9, 9. 1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $0.1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $0.35, 5 folds, UTG+1 raises to $0.6, Hero calls $0.25.Flop: ($1.27) T, 9, 3(2 players)UTG+1 bets $1.22So basically, at the moment I am putting him on either aces or kings. This is backed up by a huge amount of evidence:- I had never seen him minraise from early position and I know he is limping with smaller pairs.- Most players will make a normal raise with hands like AK/AQ normally from early position, instead of min raising.- He's reraising me PF and now potting the flop.I know that I can felt him (or pretty close, he has me covered) with this hand providing he doesn't have tens, but if I shove now does it give him a chance to get away from his hand? There is a straight draw out there but I am not afraid of that. What do you do here? Smooth call the flop and let him hang himself on the turn or try and get it in on the flop? Also, does anybody hate the PF reraise? My reasoning was just that he had made a suspicious raise and I wanted to see where I was.
krup24 0
he only has 3.8 left so either put him in on the flop, min raise the flop back at him, or smooth call and get it in on the turn. doesn't matter.i don't hate the reraise pf but what do you do if someone 3 bets in LP? i am fine with 3 betting or calling the min raise. simo_8ball 0
I like it.Shove the flop. Don't wait until the turn.
Temporary Nuts 1
Shove since he 4-bet you preflop. He's got an overpair and isn't letting go.

David_Nicoson 1
Also, does anybody hate the PF reraise? My reasoning was just that he had made a suspicious raise and I wanted to see where I was.Yeah, I hate it. He's raising from early position and you already concluded that he's probably not raising light. So I would expect a competent villain to price you out of set-mining here. Acid_Knight 2
Yeah, I hate it. He's raising from early position and you already concluded that he's probably not raising light. So I would expect a competent villain to price you out of set-mining here.
AimHigher 0
well i wouldn't make it a common strategy move to reraise someone who u suspect has an overpair, with an underpairWhat is a good alternative and why?(Directed at everyone)

So I would expect a competent villain to price you out of set-mining here. You are exactly correct, he ended up giving me 5:1 on the call but I know if I was him I wouldn't have been offering pot odds anywhere close to that
NoBBiR 0
Shove the flop. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
KoRnholio 2
Shove since he 4-bet you preflop. He's got an overpair and isn't letting go.QFT. And if he has JJ-QQ and an ace or king hits the turn, you may not get the rest of his stack. Awwww riiin.
Snamuh 0
Shove the flop all day. If he has JJ-AA, he's calling the shove all day. A T,J,Q,K,A or maybe even a 9 could kill possible action from some of those hands on the turn and you don't want that to happen.
