Bump for a trip report.Sat Oct 13th 5 hrs of 1-2 nl bought in for $200. Went to dinner -80Sun Oct 14th 12 hrs of 1-2 nl, noon $33 tourny, football bets. +120 poker, even money on the sports bets. All $60 bets, won the NE/Dallas over, Tied the GB game giving 3, and lost the Arizona game. I thought with Warner in they were a shoein. 1st qtr trip to the xray room!!!!!!! Also +50 at the craps table thanks to me rolling 4 points and alot of numbers. Otherwise it would have been real fugly. Was down $450 at one pointMonday Oct 15th 6 hrs of 1-2nl +280. I really was agressive at this table. And it paid off. Yes I said I was agressive Gallo! Also Monday at the airport(I know it is really -EV) +120 on the .25 Wheel of fortune slots. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!Luxor poker room was not bad at all. Of corse they just moved it next to the sports book like the Thursday before I got there. Plenty of room, near the crapper, bar for fast cocktail service, and sportsbook. A decent amount of plasmas.Ate some great food at Fusia(Eel in teryaki sauce, tuna/shrimp rolls, and the charred Ahi Tuna, yum yum),the Luxor steak House, and The Burger Bar.Had a great time and look forward to my next trip.

Forget about the "freeroll chop" at Luxor......it ended tonight. Management still hasn't come up with a promotion to replace it. Damn......I may have to get a job! ={

Luxor poker room sucks, don't waste your time there. I don't think they do it anymore, but their 1/2 game used to be $50 max with 3 blinds (1-1-2). Even though I think they changed it, I think a lifetime boycott is not out of line. Also avoid Excalibur at all costs. Yes, it is soft, but it is the ugliest, diirtiest poker room of any of the major casinos, and the dealers suck. Mandalay Bay is right next door. It isn't the greatest poker room, but the action is very soft, and the drink service is usually excellent.If you have more time, definitely get down to the MGM. It's one of the nicer rooms, although the drink service sucks and all of the cocktail waitresses are ugly.

They have raised it to a $200 max buy in with 1-2 blinds. If they have talkin out the freeroll chop that would suck. Not a bad room in my eyes. Much worse you could play at.

It's been a long time since I played there, but there's this one thin Asian guy that used to drive me nuts. He's constantly pulling bets in prematurely. Then he's disgusted with the other players because they don't know what the bet is.

Has anyone played this room yet? My gf and I are taking a Vegas trip in late January for her birthday and she has her heart set on staying at the Luxor. Since its her first trip to Vegas I'm not going to fight her on it. I'm normally a Ceaser's Palace type of guy but since we will be staying at the Luxor it would just be easier to hit the room there.
