BigDMcGee 3,352
I'm only about 20 minutes in, and it's the funniest comedy I've seen in ages. How have I not heard of this before. The premise is that the stupid breed more than the smart, so by the year 2505, everyone is pretty much retarded.. it's killing me

Vandees 0
Wow. Are you stoned or on shrooms? Because this movie is quite possibly the worst movie ever. I could barely finish it. Whats making it so funny? Luke Wilson's fantastic acting or Mya Rudolph's fantastic acting? Or both?
Dirtydutch 8
I'm pretty sure I made a thread about this years ago. It was awesome. The second half isn't half as good as the first, but still...

More then likely he is an electrolyte freak.
bobbywithani 0
It had the potential to be good but ultimately failed. The introduction was the only part I found funny. That and Maya Rudolph getting johns to pay her for doing nothing.
CobaltBlue 662
It had the potential to be good but ultimately failed.I'm not sure that I'd say it failed, but yeah...I wanted to like the movie more than I did. I think it's pretty amusing from a social critique standpoint...but I wouldn't consider it to be particularly good cinema.
ajs510 122
I actually just watched this again yesterday, it's much, much funnier the second time around when you know upfront that it's incredibly stupid. "Please come back when you can afford to make a purchase. Your kids are starving. Carl's Jr. believes that no child should go hungry. You are an unfit mother. Your children will be placed in the custody of Carl's Jr." Carl's Jr...”**** You, I'm Eating."

I was being sarcastic, because I find both luke wilson and maya rudolph extremely unfunny. Better luck next time.

Dirtydutch 8
Dane Cook's popularity arch will forever perplex me. As will the horrible decision-making that's partially to blame.I was one of the earliest to air my hatred (starting about three days after he closed the Insomniac Tour), mostly just because he's slightly above mediocre yet so beloved by everyone, but each new wave of backlash is so over-the-top and uncalled-for that it almost makes me want to jump sides over to fanship, just to be hip. Problem being everyone still over their is such a chode-weapon that I couldn't handle it.

So not only does he suck, but he uses other shitty comedian's material shtily.
aadams_22 3
The movie was alright, but just alright. However it may be one of those movies that gets funnier the more you watch it. I hated Office Space the first time I saw it, but have grown to love it over the years.

So not only does he suck, but he uses other shitty comedian's material shtily.I automatically believe this, and I never put it past him, but just never noticed (as apposed Ned Mencia, whose show(s) I could never watch without yelling at the TV about how he just used five consecutive barely-altered bits). Just out of amusement, off-hand, can you think of some bitten stuff I might recognize, and who he ganked it from?

Just out of amusement, off-hand, can you think of some bitten stuff I might recognize, and who he ganked it from? Some comedians have defended him on this... some material is just sort of common. I was doing a bit the other day about my jerk- off radar, honed since age 12, I know where every man, woman and beast is at at all times even though I am caged up in this sound proof 4 foot by 6 foot bathroom, and the shock to your system that occurs the first time your system fails, and someone appears in your space unannounced. Basically, the bit was about how long it takes for you to gain trust in the radar all over again. Turns out, Dane Cook has a bit like that. I have never heard it, not that I can recall, I thought it was my material, and with my spin on it, it was. Dane wouldn't call me out on that.
coesillian 0
I lasted about 30 minutes into this movie then i had to turn it off. The concept is a good idea, but it failed in execution.I got a chucle or two out of it but it was too painfull to sit through the overall retardedness of the movie.
ricker 0
With news like Jaimie Lynn Spears getting pregnant, this movie is really gonna happen isn't it?I weep for the future...
