Standard Los Angeles Casinos Question

Recommended Posts

Are there any casinos around LA that spread NLHE games where you can buy in for 100BB? So far I've found that Commerce, Hustler, and Hollywood Park all do not, and this surprises me.I'm thinking I need to spend more time in Vegas.

I think its some weird CA law or something. You can at the higher stakes obv, the 10/20NL and above at Commerce is uncapped, and the 5/10NL and up at Hollywood Park.Mark

I see. Yeah, I'm not rolled for those levels yet. I feel like when you can only buy in for 30BB or whatever, the game is such a crapshoot. I've had minimal luck at said crapshoot, but do well in Vegas and am thinking this is the main reason.

With the rake and a 30xBB buy-in .... why would you play? Go to the craps table.

$5 - $5 Game at The Bike and Hustler are decent. The buy-in for these are $300-$500.

The Bicycle Club a.ka. The Bike has a 5-10 blind NL $500.00 minimum, but unlimited buyin. most guys buyin for @ $2000.00. They normally have 2 or 3 tables going. And when Corperation Mike comes in @ 5-7pm it get really wild

30BB's + the rake = Retarded...End of story Unfortunately the options that sound acceptable are out of your BR...Can anyone point the OP in the direction of a 1/2 that has a more realistic Buy-In ?...

Doesn't sound like there is one. The $5/$5 $500-max games must be the closeset thing.New goal: get bankroll back up to $10K.

If you want to make the trip Oceans 11 in oceanside(san diego county on the other side of pendelton) has a 2-3 game with a 300 max and it is a pretty easy game... they also have 5-5 and 5-10 and I think the 5-5 is 1000 max and the 5-10 is uncapped. They also run some good limit games from 4-8 all the way up to 75-150. Doubt its worth the drive but worse comes to worse i guess. Most of the other san diego casinos have the same other than Harrahs... Also, the low limit game at palomar is a small buy in but they have higher games with no caps. Just a though.
