mr_druid 0
Sig Sauer SP 2009. Fits my hand well and is cheap to shoot at the range and reliable.Tom.
AKS 0
i'm told my grandpa had as old 10 gauge shotgun. it's probably in his attic somewhere.anyone know anything about these?Well if you like getting kicked in the shoulder by a mule then get some slugs. As scram said a 10 gauge is a beast of a weapon, one that you are not likely to put more then 8-10 rounds through before you cry "uncle". As far as what it is worth, you would have to find out make, model, age, and what kind of shape it is in.
Miguel McHarris 0
Yeah, they're really good. Some Internet Gun Board theorists don't like them (for whatever reason; web board theorists are usually tards anyway), but the 92FS I had was probably the only 9MM I've ever owned that was as reliable as my G17 or CZ75. Absolutely. Plus, the ammo is fairly economical which makes for great plinkibility. But if you're looking at a Beretta I like my 96FS. Not as good penetration from the round but it's got more stopping power which I like on the off chance that'll I have to actually use it. Not a lot of crackheads wear body armor.thanks, much appreciated.
SAM_Hard8 50
Love my Sig229 it's my primary carry gun. I also have an old Colt 38 that I keep in the car. I also have a Mossberg for primary home defense. Nothing like a 12 gauge for that, just the sound of racking a shell will send most criminals running.I have many other guns for shooting fun. I hate to say it but the SKS is the most fun. Cheep ammo and very accurate with iron sites. I sold my mini14 after I got it.
ShakeZuma 586
just got back from shooting my new .30-06 for the first time and I am quite impressed. it was bore sighted in the store and it was pretty damn accurate right out of the box. I was shooting from about 100 yards or so and hitting < 4 inch groups without a bench rest. petty damn sweet. kinda burned my hand by accidentally touching the barrel of my M4 after dumping a 30 rd clip. oops. fighter 4
Man hospitalised after shooting car wheelA US man is recovering in hospital after an attempt to loosen a stiff wheel nut on his tyre with a hand gun backfired. The 66-year-old Washington man was repairing his car outside his home when the accident happened, BBC News reports. Frustrated with the inability to loosen the wheel nut, the man pulled out a 12-gauge shot gun and blasted it at the wheel. Buckshot and debris sprayed back onto the man, giving him severe — but not life threatening — injuries. The debris flung back on to his feet and all the way to his abdomen, with some fragments reaching as far up as his chin. Police said the man was not intoxicated at the time. He had been working on his Lincoln Continental for a fortnight, police said. "He's bound and determined to get that lug nut off," said Deputy Scott Wilson, a spokesman from the sheriff's office. chrozzo 19
yeah so anyways.....my Dad mentioned a gun he thinks would suit me......a Walther PPS. As an Army General, he does know weapons a bit too.I mentioned this to my Uncle in Tucson, who is a Marine and a Police captain...he agreed. We have a gun show coming up in Harrisburg, im gonna try to get over there December 8th or 9th to get a feel of it. Anyone ever use this weapon or know anything specific about it?

Anyone ever use this weapon or know anything specific about it?I don't know about the PPS in particular, but my dad bought a walther .380 and absolutely hated shooting it. Constant feed problems and nasty recoil that actually bruised his hand after 50-100 rounds. If I remember correctly, American model PPS's are actually produced by Smith & Wesson.--editI talked to my dad and he said the Walther he had was PPK, which is a scaled down version of the PPS. The PPS carries an extra round etc. He strongly recommends you reconsider the Walther purchase. He returned his in under 30 days and bought his Beretta.

In my experience they are picky about ammo and require a bit of tuning to work well. That kind of thing can be fun to do but it's not for the casual shooter.
hank213 1,823
Took the .380 to the range the other and got to talking with another guy there that was shooting a Sig P229 in .40 S&W. He let me shoot off a clip with it and I let him try out mine. All in all a very nice gun. I noticed the recoil a bit more than I did with my Beretta .40, but I'm not sure if that was simply because it was a gun I've never fired before, if it was because I had fired a couple dozen rounds with the .380, or if was because of the actual gun itself. Given that the guy commented on how little recoil there was with the .380 I'm inclined to believe it's the 2nd but I'd like to do a comparison sometime.

I think I hit a dishwasher box once. Those things are beyond frustrating to shoot. Here's a pic of me with the .380 testing the new camera. The target on the wall is one from the first time I shot the .380. The one lonely shot in the 8 ring and slightly left always reminds me of super troopers. "What that lil guy? I wouldn't worry about that lil guy."

Yes, very difficult, I actaully have no desire to shoot one again. It was also suprisingly quiet. Used ears, but did not really need them.LOL at Super Troopers.
