I wasn't sure how thrilled I was going to be with this line-up, but with WSOP/WPT coverage being over for the year, I was happy to see some new PAD.The first episode was pretty interesting. I liked Sexton's early mind-games more than anything else I've seen him do on TV. Also, it was particularly amusing when Esfandiari and Gold each purposefully exposed a card pre-flop. Oh, and Gold's table-talk makes his hand ranges so obvious. So far, Boston's been pretty odd. I'd seen him on TV briefly before. He's got the wide-eyed crazy look and his little "conversations" remind of Zolotow.I'm looking forward to seeing if Wasicka can exact some tournament revenge on Gold.If I had to pick players to take this down, I'd think Esfandiari or Wasicka are most likely.Oh, and mods...feel free to move this to Poker on TV eventually...that place has gotten so little traffic lately.

I think Wasicka plays vv well from what I've seen of him/read in his blog. On these PADs sometimes I pick a player and try to play their hole cards as if they were my own for the entire episode. (I know geeky) I would have played every hand exactly the same as Wasicka did tonight, with maybe exception of the hand where he had top pair/gutty against Mike.....I guess that means he is pretty horrible if we play similar. Also, Mike has just become so over the top annoying.

Ha. Yeah...I was a little surprised that he threw away the 98 also. Seemed "obvious" to me that Mike probably had roughly the hand he did (overs+FD)...maybe Wasicka thought Mike would check the turn with that though.I also noticed that he tossed JTs UTG...but I think he'd raised and won the two pots prior to that, so it wasn't unreasonable.

He's like that online too (very weird); he's not a Hold'em player though - his best game from what little I've seen of his play is Stud Hi without question)

Matusow played that hand with the 4 flush on board completely horrid. Every time I have seen Wasicka play on tv I have always been impressed with his play, he uses his image well and makes some great plays, I see a lot of similarities between himself and Cunningham and they both play really well.

I don't know why, but I find Jamie Gold a terrible player who keeps trying to bluff over and over when the opponents have a great read on him.
I actually was more impressed in Gold's performance tonight than on any episode this season of HSP. I think Gold mixed it up quite well on day 1.He's certainly established his image. His main problem is a lack of focus: he isn't adept at changing gears when he needs to, from what the massive amounts of TV have reflected. It does someone little to no good to be a lagtard if they aren't eventually going to play closer to the vest and get paid for their advertising.

Mike Matusow is the most annoying human on the Earth. AINEC!
Actually if you watched last week Phil Laak was even more annoying. He made the friday episode almost unwatchable, He just would not shut up.I've been of two minds about Phil Laak, sometimes I think he's ok, but then after times like last friday I think I hate him.
