I took down the first Step 1 I played tonight. It would be sweet if I could win a package for $7.50.I was pretty much a cardrack so I am not getting my hopes up too high.

Glad to see after all the chat of why this thread was made and why it is a waste, blah, blah, blah, that it is a somewhat success.Stage 1, third try. ID # 65812766.

I've been thinking about starting off a Step 1 sometime tommorow, though not sure.I mean, I'm pretty sure I could safely get to Step 4 or 5 without much worry, it's just that if I actually won the seat..well..I've played next to NO live poker. I imagine that would put me at a horrible disadvantage o.OEdit: You were due, Pill :club: now win the rest!

Have a step 2 and a step 3 now.Gonna try to get a few more step 2's, then try to get a few more step 3's, then make a run from there.Sam, makeyourslf (sp?) has a good strat I think. He has 7 step 2's and 3 or 4 step 3's. I like the approach and thats where I got it from.Bizzle, sorry for making your head asplode by reading this. :club:

I gotta get back on the horse soon. I got sick of playing these for the past couple weeks. I used 57,000 FPPs and played only step 1st. Now I'm still playing my step 2s. I had 8 left at step 2, and 10 step 3s so far.
Win me a seat too, thx. :club:

just out of wonder how are you playing these. like not ur strat in the game, but are you playing all your step 2's and then seeing how many step 3's u end up. and then repeat. and you hope by the end of it you have a few step 6's?I personally think that wouldn't work for me only because it would be quite a grind and annoyance if I was playing/ running well and still playing the same level. So when I think im doing well I will play say a step 3 or 4. If not grind a step 2 and hope for a 3. Just my 2 cents :club: Also I'm trying to reach the package asap because depending when/if you qualify I think this would dictate if I played the 9 man or 18man step 6's if/when I got there.O haha finally do you think its best to say I will try to get say 'x' amount of tickets for this level before I seriously play the next. Because otherwise you could end up at step 6 with one ticket and only one shot... hopefully that all makes sence.Sam.

Yeah they definately felt like a grind, and I missed a lot of time away from my regular game, costing me a decent amount of money, for a long shot chance at actually getting a seat. On the other hand it's almost felt like a bit of a vacation from my regular game. These tournies are definately not worth it though in my opinion, but I've discovered I'm not really a sitngo expert. Just do whatever you're most comfortable with. If you want to only play 1 step at a time, or go through the steps as fast as you can, either way works. Just do what's comfortable for you.

Damn thats just brutal, players at that level very very rarely play that hand that strong.

Upon watching the horrible tragedy that was Pilly Pill getting stuck at a table filled with decent players, I'm going to play my Step 2 in a minute....Go me!
