When DFW died, Chorozzo made a disrespectful comment, and I slowly willed him into the grave over it. I didn't love Prince less than I loved DFW.

He's colder than that, now.

Sorry. I usually just blow by your posts without reading them.

Well we did have a USSR reference, so that is pretty close to Reductio ad Hitlerum.
Yeah but it was a pretty apt reference. If we're talking about a fascist dictator, it's not unfair to relate it to Hitler. If we're talking about a state that doesn't allow or have free press, it's not unfair to compare it to the USSR.

You are doing an excellent job of presenting something simple and obvious as if your basic awareness of it implies any intelligence. The question is not whether the presentation of information contains the bias of the presenter. That is basic and obvious. The question is whether biased presentation should be used by journalists to promote their agenda. You seem to prefer other people doing your thinking for you, in which case that would be meritous. If you'd prefer to do your own objective analysis, then you should consider 'good' journalism to include maximum efforts to minimize the presenter's bias.
I so want to respond to this, and how you're calling my points "obvious" is ironic (as you seem to have missed them), and maybe even mention how all journalism is used to present one agenda or another (in one form or another, though at times with more subtlety), then point out that raging over a bias that is obvious simply because you disagree with it while accepting the biases that you agree with as "good journalism" is hypocritical (yeah, it's still biased reporting even if the news you are covering is widely accepted as either good or bad), plus throw in the fact that I don't especially agree with the biases of Fox News (which you seem to believe that I do) but can at least respect the fact that they stick to it, but alas, dead horse.

This is incorrect. Some journalism, even if it's a relatively small percentage, is really just a presentation of the facts. It's up to the reader/viewer to determine when this is the case.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.

LOL...I actually own that DVD. I think he's awesome!
I own it too...my friends and I made up a drinking game where you take a sip of your drink every time Robin drinks water. You get VERY drunk VERY fast. We played once. RobinWilliamsLiveOnBroadwayDVD2010.jpg
