Who Died Today?

Recommended Posts

Instead of cluttering the whole forum I think it's better if we have one spot where you can go ahead and post the deaths of your dogs, parents, sisters, cousins, birds, cats, horses or Aloe plants here.

When DFW died, Chorozzo made a disrespectful comment, and I slowly willed him into the grave over it. I didn't love Prince less than I loved DFW.

He's colder than that, now.

God damn it, Fritz, you could have gone with "happy trails, bubby" there, and you ****ed it up.

You killed 66000 transients in between the time LLY posted that and your post!?I don't think anyone can even be mad about that. That's impressive.

Am I the only one not really thrilled with this idea?I sorta can understand if it was a pet or whatever, but IMO, if a close friend, parent or even someone you knew on a personal level died, I would make a separate thread for it in respect.
Or, you know, not post about it on an internet forum. No disrespect to the deceased, but it seems really self-serving to post a new thread when someone you (not you specifically, the royal you. You know, the editorial...) know that nobody else here knows has passed. Sad? Almost always. Relevant to a poker forum? Not usually.

I believe the exact opposite. I think (the royal) you should create a thread upon a close death, and then go ahead and create a whole new one if the recently deceased sends a sign that he or she is thriving in the afterlife.

What if they are around in the afterlife, but it sucks. Should we keep that to ourselves?

I killed a bee that was hanging out around my dog's house.. but then I kinda started feeling guilty.. 'cause, you know.. it might've been my dog's uncle coming back to comfort him.
Is you dog a black & yellow lab?
