xmykro 0
Is this new? Just went to the WPT website to see who won the Barcelona tourney, and it looks like World Poker Tour has entered the online poker business. http://www.worldpokertour.com/

RDog 0
Okay wait, I am REALLY confused??? Huh? Why have we heard basically nothing about this? When did this happen? I am vvvv surprised there was a not a big deal made of this. Also, they show Neteller at the bottom??? That means it has been around a while?
Veener Schnitz 0
This is news to me!Can anyone register?Everyone that is at least eighteen (18) years old is welcome to play our Poker games for free. If you are located in a country where online gaming is prohibited (such as the United States & its territories, or France), it is illegal for you to register or play the games on this site for cash or for play money. Click here to view the list of restricted territories. You must not register or try to register with World Poker Tour if you are located in a jurisdiction in which such registration and/or playing of the Games is unlawful, prohibited, or contrary to any applicable regulation. It is your responsibility to ensure that this is not the case.bummer...

rochyfish 0
It's on the cryptologic (wagerlogic) network so it won't accept US players, well, at least not until you rise up and kill the monsters that are restricting your freedom to do what you want with your own money
RDog 0
I guess I am primarily surprised that this hasn't been a big deal because it would seem they are positioning themselves for the Frist bill to be overturned. Not saying that the US is the only market but it would seem for the WPT it is the market they would want.
rochyfish 0
I'm sure that cryptologic, along with all the other poker companies not currently able to take US players, will jump straight back in to the US market if it opens up. But if it doesn't then I guess they need to keep pushing their non-US operations.
CobaltBlue 662
Uhh...this has been around for a couple of years. They've never accepted US players though.

Not saying that the US is the only market but it would seem for the WPT it is the market they would want.I was thinking the exact same thing. Seems like the WPT is foreseeing the UIEGA getting overturned or Internet Poker getting regulated. They want to be ready to jump right into the US market.
xmykro 0
Uhh...this has been around for a couple of years. They've never accepted US players though. That's weird because I looked at the tournament history, and the oldest tourney dates back to yesterday (10/16/07).Also in the "about us" page it says this:Welcome to World Poker Tour®'s Online Poker Room and CasinoWorld Poker Tour’s newly launched, 2007 premiere online gaming room provides unlimited quality poker and casino play. Our goal is to provide an entertaining online gaming environment, and a safe, secure place to improve your poker and casino knowledge and skills. World Poker Tour’s online gaming room offers a wide selection of online poker and casino games as well as our Forum and Blog. We also provide 24/7 phone and email support.--Yeah, it could've been around for years. And they just newly launched the poker room/site on the Cryptologic network, yesterday.
