Influcted 0
Not the first time these things happen, the video poker-site called English Hour ( Or something close to that ) messed with the odds resulting the player to lose every 2/3 hands.
QED 4
Sounds like it's time for AP execs to start jumping out of windows.
hblask 1
not much need to re bump this but meh heres mark seif's newest blog linkhere, yo-mark- ... not seifMuch better than his previous attempts, but at this point I'm not sure what other evidence he is waiting for. There is no rush to convict, the whole thing has been carefully investigated and documented. It seems like he's waiting for a video of someone sneaking up behind the cheaters while they are playing. Yeah, there is now an "official" investigation, but that's just the result of AP stalling in the face of the obvious.
Loismustdie 0
Does AP run World Series Sats? If so, this would be the year to qualify through them. Paranoia =weaker competition and egg on face means a 1st Class experience for any player that wins through them. Probably.

Jeepster80125 0
I need to go back and find where I disagreed with everyone and said that if this thing was to continue to blow up AP would be forced to admit to things...Im such a geniusI bet no matter what they admit to knowing, people like you and me still won't be satisfied. I'm betting they'll say it was a couple of rogue programmers or something.

I like how they just found out the culprit yet Cwik's email shows they knew about Steamroller 6 months ago. So much for coming clean eh?

There's a short video too available from msnbc's front page, can't link it.

This seems like new information.

AP needs to find a story and stick to it......I'd suggest the Truth, but what do I know?I'm not buying it either... But did they really have much choice than to go this route once they decided to actually come clean?I mean, they can't just say, "yep, someone on the inside was cheating, and this account made it possible."If they have any chance of saving the company, they have to basically confirm it happened, but make themselves look as clean as possible while doing so.Not that I believe it for a second though. The email below is being sent to players who were involved in the incident and to anyone contacting customer support about the incident. Another statement will be following in the coming days. I think the most important part of this is "All players affected by the security breach will be identified during the audit process that has been initiated and all funds, including interest, will be returned. ""Dear Valued Player,Absolute Poker has identified an internal security breach that compromised our systems for a limited period of time. The cause of the breach has been determined and completely resolved. In addition, all necessary resources, both internal and external, have been engaged to ensure this does not happen again. Our investigation is not fully concluded, and we wish to thank the extended poker community for any and all assistance related to the matter.Game integrity has always and continues to be of the utmost importance at Absolute Poker. The Management of Absolute Poker is appalled by these findings, and is committed to our players and to the integrity of our site and the online poker industry. All players affected by the security breach will be identified during the audit process that has been initiated and all funds, including interest, will be returned. Absolute Poker would like to apologize for the recent events and is committed to diligently working with outside security firms, auditing firms, the extended poker community and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission to ensure the situation is entirely resolved. A comprehensive statement will be forthcoming shortly providing more details of the situation."
