lol.1. There is no collusion here, he wasn't last to act and didn't call/fold the nuts. 2. In reality it coulda been a value call, with 3 players to act behind him. 3. It can not be obvious collusion if you have to ask.

I know that it isn't the point of this thread, but wasnt calling with 5-8offsuit worse than the other guy not raising on the riverI think the argument that he was likely trying to get more action makes sense; plus he may have had a read that people were calling preflop with 5-8 offsuit and was convinced that he would get more action

The river call was likely made to induce other calls behind him, if he believed the original bettor was on a bluff or weak-lead and would not call a raise.
