Sigh. Tournaments are so annoying.Build a stack gradually, grinding away small pots for an hour and a half, and then QQ<KK followed by QQ<AK and bye bye.The solutiion I guess is either to play more tournaments, or to stop playing them altogether.Lather, rinse and repeat.

i didnt know it was possible to lose every single coinflip you play..... but i did. these were all in's preflop where stack sizes in relation to the blinds justified the move....lost ak vs qqlost jj vs k9lost aq vs 88lost aq vs 99lost 88 vs q jlost 1010 vs a jlost 77 vs 9 10there were a few more but the last one was worst...i shoved for 7 BB's and i was playing uber tight and showed nothing but big hands. seriously a 10 was the worst hand i'd shown down and it was my BB.... and he called with 9 10 off.oh and every time i was up against a PP they flopped the set. all of these were late in the final 2 tables and all in preflop. of 45 man SNG'si hate poker today.

i think id just put him all in on the turn here. of course, he's calling and you lose anyway, but youre not folding for his last 450, so you midas well make him pay the max to draw on that board

Honestly, that's a leak because he often will fold for his last 450. If he has A6 or something I want to eke the money out such that he reluctantly has to call the river for a small amount into a big pot. With just 455 left he has nowhere near correect implied odds to call the turn, but he might fold some draws to a shove. Shoving wins me the pot more often, but it wins me less.If he had more left behind, but still such as where I would still be forced to get it in on the river regardless, I would have bet more on the turn to limit implied odds.

Goddamn I hate tournaments. So much. Really.
Agreed. The last several tournaments have been brutal for me. Last night was the final straw and I've sworn off poker for a while.A while usually = 1 day, which means I'll probably play again later tonight. Fucking poker...

Edit:nevermind, Im an idiot, joined a cake tourney for $33, because it looked like there would be a $3000 overlay. Its a bounty tourny, so first place only gets $700 when I thought it would much bigger.I couldnt find an unregister button, guess I'll be a cash donk adding dead money. I would have never paid this much in for a tourney if I didn't think I was getting an amazing price.Oh wells
