Cappy37 0
I have a related question. Say I have ten minutes left before a tournament starts, or that I am multi-tabling and about to stop, but one of my tables breaks about ten minutes before I want to quit. If I sit down at a new table I know in advance it will only be for one orbit.Should I announce that I will only be there for a single orbit, so it won't look like a hit and run when I happen to win just before I leave? Or is it even impolite to only play a single orbit, period?Online you only are obligated to say "Screw you guys, I'm going home" before you leave the table.
Mr. Sparco 2
Online you only are obligated to say "Screw you guys, I'm going home" before you leave the table. But since I am already at home, wouldn't that be... like... lying?
Cappy37 0
But since I am already at home, wouldn't that be... like... lying?Well, you never stipulated how far you were "going".. so it's borderline. Meep! Meep!
whatgreatis 0
It wouldn't hurt to announce it but I don't think you have to.

SpiderGuard 0
Why is Balloon Guy calling everyone Mark? He's only calling himself Mark. Calling other people Mark would just be silly. http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...howtopic=109498
ROBBBIGG 0
even if i announce im leaving early, if i win i get people upset im hit and running. when you're worried about hit and runs, you play a bit tighter because you dont wanna take coinflips often - and so i think its fair to leave early so long as you let him know you're doing it. if you come in a room, all in, and then dash - thats a pretty jerky thing to do. firingblind 0
Happened to me last night actually... I was grinding (well trying to..) a .50/1 NLHE for an hour or so before hitting the sack (yea I know, an hour isn't a grind, but I don't have that much time after I get home from work ) and I had gone through a few consecutive bad beats, but that's for another forum. Anyways, litterally right before I was going to log, I got a decent hand. Raised it up, bla blah blah long story short I hit a full house, stacking another player who hit a smaller boat, putting me up significantly for the night. Now I was in a position, as I HATE people going south on me. But I was so damn tired from work, so much that I should have been playing in the first place really. I stayed only for another orbit then had to log, and felt kinda bad about it. My point being, I am kinda torn on the issue. Yes, it is online and MUCH more continuous action coming to the table to keep the money rolling around, but then again if I were in the player's shoes that I just stacked, I'd be kinda pissed. Unfortunately in that situation I mentioned, staying to play while tired is -EV for both my game and my worklife I think the convenience of continuous action online gives it less of an impact, but still in my books I try to avoid it as much as possible. As for play money... easy for me to say it doesn't matter, but I guess to some people out there it would i guess *shrug*
