Scott3705 0
To scott: I didn't mean anything offensive by my saying "if you dont want to give your opinion, then dont prevent other people from giving theirs." I, personally, didn't think it was as black and white as what you and others have said, so if I came off as arrogant, then I apologize.I don't think it's black and white at all. It's a crappy spot. I just think there's so many levels of ridiculousness to wade through that it's hard to come up with something online.
Trips_Holdem 0
there arent so many levels....he has to have 2 of the remaining 8 spades, and one of those spades has to be a Q, K, or an A to beat you....the fact that he is a donkey suggests that he is making a play or is highly oveprlaying his straight, set, or two pair i HAVE to call here especially at a casino game
mtdesmoines 3
When a person does not understand the relative strength oftheir hand, it's hard to put them on a hand.QFMFT all day long. Some people throw false tells. I stacked a kid the other night by throwing a weak tell. Since I was in the 10 seat, I actually HAD TO LEAN OUT OVER THE TABLE WHERE HE COULD SEE ME AND THEN DO IT ... but ... mission accomplished. He pushed 3 buyins at me with one pair and there I was, sitting on the nut flush at the turn. LOL. And, yeah, I had him covered. Good night for me.Tells are tricky. Good players give false tells. Bad players can, too, but for different reasons. We always need to know what we're dealing with.
Whiskey16 1
Does anyone else feel like it's just a matter of relative value? Even if he's only pushing with a big naked spade, we get drawn out on enough of the time that we've got so little invested in this pot at this point, that it's just not worth the call, and we can find a better spot, even if we think he MAY push with 2 pair or even TP?Is that too narrowminded? Acid_Knight 2
I have 50 bucks that says this is D5Greene or whatever his name wasGood read. It's not usually that easy to get a solid read online, but you've done a good job analyzing the info at hand and getting right down to it

Either calling is +EV and we should do it, or is isn't and we should fold.

ghoti 0
...he has to have 2 of the remaining 8 spades, and one of those spades has to be a Q, K, or an A to beat you....Are you sure about that?really, really sure? But seriously, as others have said there are some donkeys where this could be an easy call, others where it is an easy fold, and others where it's clearly WTF? Not everyone plays the same (not even donkeys) and without knowing what we're dealing we can't know the correct play. By the by, who here bets the flop?

Trips_Holdem 0
this isnt a 50-50 people....throughout the hand you gain information...He woke up when the flush hit, but it also put a straight draw on the board. So the chances that he has a straight and is sure by the way he bet that he didnt have a flush draw he would make this play. He should have picked something up on the way he bet wether or not he was weak or strong. I cant see the odds that he has you beat would make this a 50-50 its like a 75-25 for me but still sometimes a fold
mtdesmoines 3
Damn straight. Either he has us beat, or he doesn't. 50-50 chanceNaismith?

So you call on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but you fold on Tuesday's and Thursdays? What if it's raining outside?
Trips_Holdem 0
the only 25% i see in folding here is by me not being at the table...Im sure if I was playing the hand what I picked up during the hand as a good poker player should do would make this 100% call. Again, just viewing the hand without seeing the player, or without knowing how fast he bet or what he did when he bet is what makes this unappealingIt is simply not a 50-50 because of the odds of him having the few hands that can beat you
Temporary Nuts 1
If I'm at the table I call every time, but since I'm not there this could be a foldFYP...and huh?

Trips_Holdem 0
Gee guys, i didnt know you were all robotically programed to make the same play in the same situation all the time. Wow, I wonder what daniel is talking about when he says some pople just have no clue and probably wont ever understand what you have to do in order to win. I am saying if I was there, I would have a read and I would trust my instincts. I would definitely say he has the best hand.

I would definitely say he has the best hand. This is the point, the only read is "he's retarded."Based on that, we know nothing, which means that other than having a solid read, and until someone provides that information, there is really no need to discuss this hand at all. Based on the information provided, it's a coin flip.
Acid_Knight 2
Can I have my $50 now? LOL, I read that and I thought, that settles it!Zach, check the IP address and ban this clown!

Acid_Knight 2
Winner. It was about half as hard to figure out as Action Falko's alter ego that showed up one day.
nomad_monad 0
I played with the idea of including the words. "Don't take this as a personal attack. I just don't think that you can discuss this type of hand in an online forum." But then I thought that we're mostly guys here and don't have to take everything personal and act like we have a triangle between our legs. Dick.I laughedAnd I agreeFWIW, I fold this unless I've seen villain get donktastic in the sense he massively overplays hands. odds might become sort of meaningless against a weirdo villain, but all the same, we do have to be right here an awful lot of the time.Zach, check the IP address and ban this clown!i dunno - the entertainment value is high enough to justify letting him stick around, don't you think? ActionFalko 0
It was about half as hard to figure out as Action Falko's alter ego that showed up one day. Yes that was really stupid. And I am honestly shaming for this. I somehow wanted to get better posts on my questions, because I thought that nobody is giving someone credit who plays not NL$1,000,000. But I am done with this and I am really sorry for it.Really. AT LEAST I DON'T WANTED MONEY FROM YOU
Naismith 0
Damn straight. Either he has us beat, or he doesn't. 50-50 chance here where's the coin?I have to agree with this. We either win or lose. Two options. Fifty-fifty!
