Keeps people guessing and gets you extra action. Easiest way to disguise stud8 hands. I also might pop 5th as you have picked what is likely the best low draw and can put some pressure on the other two players that have bricked and pos slow down the orig bettor if you miss 6th.You also can't really fault the straight raising here as how do you put that guy on 9's. He has one of the 9's in his hand and why the hell should the guy raising that started with a 5 up have another 9 in the hole? 5's and 9's dont live together in stud 8. It would look to me that i was against 2 low hands with the straight. Oh and the idiot calling all those bets with Q's is your new best friend.Love the stud8 it's the tits. But I think you're right about 5th.Last night I was getting no cards all through HOR and S, and I was begging for some cards after watching almost every round someone called with a 9 10 or J up. out of position.
