He did raise too much, but, I think he can still find a fold there, against a rock, not getting a huge price(not a bad one, though), and if he folds, he still has ~100k(a reasonable stack), and the fact that he could be crushed against any queen. It's only a 'good call' because he shows Ac4c, it's a terrible call if he shows KQ.
Against a rock??? Huh??? What broadcast were you watching there? That guy is a total and complete maniac. Just cause he folded a few pots doesn't mean he was playing tight. Did you see the 6-9 hand? Trust me, any pair against that guy and I wanted to get it in. When I bet the 50k it was essentially me deciding to move in while not making my hand look weak by overbetting the pot. I was already committed no matter what.

I guess I don't feel the need to put a 'sw' in every post, but, maybe I should..? Either way, bad spot, IMO.

How could that possibly have been bad? The button will raise with as wide a range as imagineable, I fop second pair with an overcard kicker. He makes a weakish bet on the flop, a bet that again could be any hand in the deck. I felt like I had the best hand, I did, and essentially "moved in" by making it 50,000 with the intent of calling a push as this player (in the 6-9 hand and others) showed that he would call weak and push with draws INSTANTLY. I can't let him just steal my money when I have the best hand? He only had 12 wins and that was, as far as draws go, about as good as he rates to have.

And that's my problem, I suppose. I don't know why you think he NEVER has a Q or better here..? And even against the hand you put him on--an over and a flush draw--you're an 11:9 favorite..you played that well for that many days, to get in (essentially) your entire stack as an 11:9 favorite? I know that you're a favorite, albeit a slim one, and you should never be opposed to getting it all in as a favorite. But, if I'm you, and I think I can outplay the majority of people for the length of this tournament, I'm finding a better spot.

i think in any tournament at some point youre going to need to get your money in and know youre only a slight favourite, if that.

The hand that really really intrigued me ( and sorry if it has been talked about already ) but Daniel opened in MPish for std raise of like 6k.. I believe he had about 120k ish all day... folds to PA who re pops to 25k.. Daniel essentially snap calls.. they end up getting it in on a 5-4-2 with two diamond flop when PA has AA and Daniel has 5-3. Maybe it is like 19th level thinking.. but I don't understand how calling 19k more ( 20% of your remaining stack) against one of the best players in the world can be profitable with 5-3. Against a horrible player maybe.. but even then you barely have any implied odds if you do somehow hit gin.. am I missing something here?
