00Lenny 0
Going to the Leafs game tonight..HOLLA at me if you are there.PHI@TOR? Lucky bastard, that was a GREAT game last night for us. I had to put up with Pierre McGuire assaulting my ears all night. Gives me hope and SOMETHING to throw in all the haters faces though. Bozak showed he has some serious dangles and Kulemin might thrive on a line with Kessel where he is completely unnoticed by the other team. Toskola surprised me too, didn't show up with his regular brutal goal just as the Leafs pick up momentum.

Toskola surprised me too, didn't show up with his regular brutal goal just as the Leafs pick up momentum. It was a great game..I have been to a few games this year, but tonight was a little different. There was a different atmosphere and it seemed louder in the ACC.If this is the only game you have seen all year, you would think the Leafs are challenging for a Stanley Cup. The PP looked not great in the first especially on the 5-3, however in previous games our goalie would give up a soft goal and things would turn. Toskala wasnt spectacular but he made a couple of really good saves.I agree that we may have found our first line. Kulemin had a bad start to the year where he disappeared for a long stretch, however he is coming into his own. Bozak looked really good and made Kessel much better. Kessel had his best game in a the last few weeks, even though he didnt score he had a lot of chances and created even more. Its a fine line between a loss against Carolina in which i thought we played a very good game and lost, and lasts night effort. Lets hope we put up a solid effort against the Caps tonight. We have played well against them and are 2-1 this year.

00Lenny 0
oooo forgot about that..Perfect...NO ONE WATCH HOCKEY SaturdayThis is the first I've heard of the boycott, is this over this new tax they've proposed? And man, for a guy who has taken more heat in the past two weeks than ANYONE, Kessel IMO is REALLY proving he is worth those picks and turning into a more complete player than just a sniper. Like you were saying serge, he REALLY has started making the guys around him better, and in both games against Philly, he showed off some backchecking like I haven't seen by a leaf since like.......I dunno, Mark Bell on Alfie? serge 904
Interesting game last night as it was a reversal of a typical Leafs game this season. We usually get behind 2-0 or 3-1 and spend half the game clawing back or just falling short. Yesterday we get off to a huge 3 goal lead(yes the goaltending was a little bad) then we blow it in the third..Give the boys credit for sustaining the onslaught and coming up with the victory on Kessel's goal. While the playoffs are looking like its going to be tough to make, my main goal for this team is to at least finish 25th. Its a silly goal for most teams, however I personally have a large bet riding on this and it would really look bad if the Leafs are a "lottery" team and somehow have a chance to hand the top pick to the Bruins. Currently there are 9 teams ahead of us within 8pts...While its very hard to jump that many teams, we only have to jump 3 of those teams.I still havent given up on the playoffs as a good run of 8 or 9 wins in 10 games could put us in a good position, however there is just too many teams ahead. Also if we can make the pick at least in the 8-10 range, the Bruins wont be getting an impact player..Well not yet anyway. Dubey 1,035
we have a stretch of winnable games coming up, we really need to string together some wins and get out of the basement. I've adopted a similar outlook on this season as you, Serge. It has become: 'operation don't let the Bruins get a lottery pick' for me.
pezeveng 207
This team needs one more game breaker to be a playoff contender. Thats just to contend not go to the promise land.

TaxLawyer71 0
Our firm is holding its annual assembly in Toronto this year. I wasn't really looking forward to it, but we were told today that Brian Burke will be a guest speaker on opening day. I wasn't aware that he is a Harvard Law Alumni.
