RDog 0
??????????The 20r is basically the worst value tournament online IMO. For the most part the play in that tourney is pretty good, you can get stuck quite a bit fairly easily and 1st is less than 10k.

RDog 0
100r?There are only about 30 people that should be playing that one regularly so I don't consider that one when I do my worst online tournament calculations. But yes, 100r for anyone dumb enough to consider playing it, then 20r for the rest of us smart donks.

profxavier9 0
niiice ive wanted to play that a few time but never did because of the shorter stack. What took them so long??
RDog 0
i think the 5r and 10r have mroe value than the 3r?Well, pretty much the same play in all of them except more good players scattered in the 10r. But since the 10r has double for first that the other 2 have, I think that is the best online tourney right now. I still think the 5r and 3r get decent top end number for the quantity of bad players in the field.
chgocubs99 0
niiice ive wanted to play that a few time but never did because of the shorter stack. What took them so long??In short, the fact that people have jobs. But I'd say over 50% of the people that are in this are either 1) Students or 2) Don't have a "9 to 5", so playing until 3 in the morning doesn't matter much to the majority. chgocubs99 0
In all seriousness RDog, any tourament that can start with 443 players and be down to 350 players by the first break, when I have zero chance of being knocked out during a period where we are losing 15% of the field, is +EV, IMO. After that, you just get to the age old question of whether it's smarter to play against a field of 350 good-very good players or 1800 mostly average players to win 10K. I'm personally fine with either of those. Among the big tournaments it may not be the best value, but again, I see it as +EV.
Ex_Matt 0
What about the 55r ?? And the 33r ??
chgocubs99 0
What about the 55r ?? And the 33r ??I loved the old 33r on Dise where you could buy in all the way until the end of the first hour. I usually treated that one as a $100 freezeout...I'd register right before the break and 300 people worth of dead money would already be in the prize pool. Sadly, the site got shut down shortly after my discovery.I have played the 55r a few times, and still see value. The amount of people that treat it as a $55 freezout makes up for the fact that it is shark-infested, in my opinion. I could be wrong about that one though. The 100r could have value for the same reason but I don't have the roll, nor the inclination, to find out.
