Recommended Posts

I only played a couple of orbits with this player. I had been playing pretty aggressively but my only showdowns were big hands.I have only been playing online for about a month now and am still trying to feel my way.I raised post flop trying to get a weaker pair to fold. What do I do here? Where can I play this hand better?PaulPokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)UTG ($2)MP ($5.43)Hero ($6.49)Button ($6.38)SB ($6.15)BB ($14.32)Preflop: Hero is CO with A :club: , Q :D . 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.2, 1 fold, SB calls $0.18, BB calls $0.15.Flop: ($0.60) 8 :D , Q :D , 7 :D(3 players)SB bets $0.8, BB folds, Hero raises to $2, SB raises to $5.95, Hero ?.

I have to call here as he probably is overbetting the pot with a flush draw-probably A-small-and he may have put you on a steal w/your co raise...

Autocall for me. I think you played the hand fine, I might have raised to ~2.50, but I want to get it all in here regardless. If he has a set, its a cooler, but I thinks its either KQ, QJ, or some kind of draw a majority of the time.

The decision was pretty much made for you when you raised the flop..By raising his overbet, you made a commitment decision there that your committed to his stack and on the flop, the money is going all in if the Villain wants it to. Now if he calls your flop raise, and shoves a club/J/K turn, then you have a bit of a tougher decision.

Yeah I think this is an autocall and I'm pretty sure your ahead. He probably has kj qj or a flushdraw. I think a set would have check/raised instead of donkbetting.

in this low stakes game this is an easy call. This would be much more difficult if you were playing for a lot more. But here, players move all in with anything. Your preflop raise was fine. Your raise on the flop was good. Now make the call, you almsot certainly have the best hand.
