Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)BB ($6.90)UTG ($27.35)MP ($14.65)CO ($33.10)Button ($24.30)Hero ($44.65)Preflop: Hero is SB with Qheart.gif, Qclub.gif. UTG raises to $0.85, 1 fold, CO raises to $2.9, 1 fold, Hero raises to $5.6, 1 fold, UTG folds, CO calls $2.60.Flop: ($12.20) 4diamond.gif, Kclub.gif, Kdiamond.gif(2 players)Hero checks, CO checks.Turn: ($12.20) Aheart.gif(2 players)Hero bets $7.5, CO folds.Final Pot: $12.20I really have no idea what I was doing here. At the time I was thinking I should have raised more preflop, but now I'm thinking that this was a cheap way to find out of I'm beat. The flop check I think was pretty bad, usually without a K here I'll check and bet the turn to make it look like I have a K, but I think this was an easy bet, and if he comes over the top again then it's a fold.As I was betting the turn I was thinking 'what the hell am i doing?'As played I think he folds a lot of Aces on this turn? How SHOULD I have played this on each street?

it seems like you were ahead hands like JJ and TT the whole way, as played.without knowing that in retrospect, i feel like you did a very good--although accidental--job of representing KQ or AK here, which CO couldn't beat. it's such a standard rookie move to check flopped trips like that after a big preflop raise that you probably inadvertently sold it.how to play better? next time sell it on purpose! j/k.

i don't know about your 4-bet there pf, against an UTG raiser and a re-raiser in between i think i might have just smooth-called and taken the flop from there, but your play isn't terrible either wayas played, since you made the 4-bet pf, you HAVE to bet the flop, checking there is so extremely weak it's not even funnyhe's not folding an ace on this turn card, but all your problems would be solved by betting the flop, then you wouldn't have had to make the decision you did on the turn...as played betting here is bad i think only because you will only get called by hands you beat, and they won't be folding either

If your going to 4-bet preflop you need to raise more, to like $8-9. Then you have to c-bet that flop.As for the turn play, I don't like that bet either. The villain is always going to call/raise with and A or K, and muck anything less. On the other hand if he does have a hand like JJ/TT, he is prolley going to check behind anyways. The only hand I see you getting him off of with your bet on the turn is QQ.

I wonder what calls off 20 BBs then folds a KKA board? I know what BETS it, because you told us QQ does that. ...

That was the best played pair of queens I've ever seen. I have no idea what you're talking about sir.

Gotta bet the flop. Once you don't do that if you want to continue with the hand go into check/call mode, nothing is calling bets that you have beat but something might bluff at you and you are probably wayyyy ahead of anything you are currently ahead of.Or just c/f that's standard.
