Sc00by 0 Posted August 20, 2007 Share Posted August 20, 2007 bad night for me...5 different sit and goes ive got my chips in in front by a long way and been outdrawn...AJ V A2....AA2 flop, LOLAK V AJ...turn a jackAQ V KQ......you get it, lolso i switch to cash....6-6 in a pre flop raised pot, flop is 7-7-7...i push(knowing any hand is most likely gonna call me here)(any ace high, any small pair etc)(maybe a bigger pair which is fair enough i can handle that)...didnt expect him to be playing 7-3 off though, LOLbefore you all start screaming this is in the wrong section i better add get to the point i wanna discussso its 3am here...i wanted to play for longer, but i always have this rule that when things start running bad to get off and leave it until tomorrow. A friend of mine played live tonight, he has just come off the back of (starting january) a 5 month winning spree...$40,000 (£20,000) in winnings...followed in the last 6 - 8 weeks of pure bad beat hell, without 1 single meaningful cash. Monday hes talking of giving it up for a month. i talk him into playing our local $30 rebuy, and he splits the money 5 ways at the end(105 runners).........tuesday he bubbles in the same event(threw his chips away with 11 left, top 10 got paid), wednesday he wins outright a $20 rebuy(50 runners) and then thursday he busts out early enough to come home and get in our favourite "Graveyard challenge" on the site we both use...he comes 2nd in that.......so like i said, its 3am here and im about done with the beats for the night and hes just called me and said he shared the money with the top 4 again tonight in a $100 +1 rebuy eventdo things tend to run this way for you guys? and i dont wish to call it luck, we are both good players, most of the time all we need is our hands to not be out drawn, not that we get it all in in a bad spot and need luck to win. i just tend to beleive luck is random from 1 day to the next, but he swears that bad runs and good runs can last weeks and months, apparantly during his bad run lately he was talking to a regular at our local casino and he said he has seen the kind of sick beats my friend has had 1st hand...he said he had over 12 months of pure bad beat hell......after a night like tonight, im hoping and praying i dont go on a 6 -8 week bad beat mayhem spell let alone over 12 monthsplease tell me it wont last Link to post Share on other sites

In which case skill is forever.trust me...he has had some very very sick beats in those 2 months or sohe is a very successful $20 - $100 rebuy player....$40,000 in the first 5 months of this yearand $5,000 just this week aloneits definately not his play in question Link to post Share on other sites
