I am normally very submissive in terms of information technology and never complain when big companies mess with my privacy or software giants spy out on me or force out open software businesses but Apple really managed to tick me of twice this year.Round One:So I have an Ipod. ("Goregous. It works so well any I can really really easy reset it when the software crashes twice a week - that's just splendid deisgn, isn't it???")So the software installer recently asked me to update my itunes... "ok".After that I have a brand new browser software installed????? WTF???Round two:My cellphone camera produces MP4-files. After I got bored with the entirely useless quicktime-player, which always felt responsible for this kind of file but never was able to handle it, I de-installed the quick-time player.The next time I run itunes it tells me that it can't run because quick-time-player is not installed and that i need to re-install Itunes!!!I have two questions:1. WHY?2. Why the f*** do they let me de-install the useless quicktime player (which after all ist not so useless because obv. it's needed to run itunes for whatever reason) as a single item of software? Why should I want to do that?
