NoBBiR 0
I'm playing a home game with friends tonight. .1/.25 with a group I've known for along time. Decent players, but way too loose passive. I play with them enough to have a TAG image; as I mostly just catch-up with my buddies and play ABC tight poker...Tonight, I'm going durrrr on their asses and going to play 60% of hands or more... I did this in a 5nl cash game online once, I saw something like 60% of flops and ended up +2 buy-ins over 250 hands... good run of cards, obv... and 5nl has some serious floaters who fold to 2nd bulletsThat is all, back to workI did this the last few times I played in my home game and I usually made a lot of good bluffs and almost always got the money in good, but I ran so bad I lost like 4 buy-ins in like a few hundred hands live. Durrr'ing people is fun but you have to run reasonably well otherwise your downswings are DOWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNswings.

NoBBiR 0
Yeah, gotta bring a few buy-ins for sureAlso, forgot to say, it makes hand reading really really really easy. It's just that then you have to get people to fold when you define their hands, which in home games is tough.
Temporary Nuts 1
Is there a webapp version of pokerstove? I.E. no download necessary it's done all on the page?If not do you think there is a reasonable desire for such an application?

BaseJester 1
I ventured out to the casino yesterday. It's been a long while. It frankly hurts me to think of all the suckers' money that I've been missing out on.I sat 1/2 NLHE while waiting for a PLO seat. I saw a donktastic raise with a flush on the river with two pairs on the board in a limped pot. Within 10 minutes, this same woman flat called acting last with the nuts and then slow-rolled it. Temporary Nuts 1
1/2NL live at a casino usually plays worse than home games. Also, I just got CGI running on my webhost, so hopefully I'll be able to try to do something about that app. I'm afraid it's going to end up being very hacky and very slow though... but hey that's what Betas are for. The reality is this will probably be another one of those projects I start and don't finish, but at least I'm 1337 with Perl so maybe it'll get done before my standard week attention span. I wish I had the money to make a serious attempt at playing that much and to play that high. I hate being poor.
tskillz187 0
How are you doing at $100nl? I think there's a decent jump in skill from $100nl from $50nl. Then another decent sized jump from $100nl to $200nl.

I hate being poor. It's a time thing. This was a $100 roll a month ago.btw SS is short stacking so I'm not quite up at $100NL for real... yet.I don't quite think 2k profit is really sufficient to be celebrating. tskillz187 0
2k profit a month cover what you need or no? 2k at those limits is good. Shit, 2k/month playing poker is really great for any one really.

Then another decent sized jump from $100nl to $200nl.I'm getting called much much lighter in $100NL. Silly things like ATs, 66 and such. I think they think I squeeze a lot. I only tried one so far and it failed horribly as both KJs and 33 came along.Only logged 2k hands in it so far, but am running great at 10BB/100 even if Sklansky still owes me $ but I'm not complaining.2k profit a month cover what you need or no? 2k at those limits is good. Shit, 2k/month playing poker is really great for any one really. It would, but a decent chunk of that (around 25%) is that tourney win I don't think I could count on one of those a month. Although since I was playing lower limits hopefully I'll be ok and able to maintain. Downsings do happen tho. Also can't wait to get this rakeback payment .

Im a 9bb/100 winner over 100k hands at the limit and somehow i lost 13BI in 3k hands. Oh well. Try and get it back tomorrow, but that was insane. I thought I actually played pretty well, haha. dms26 3
yeah i don't know i just remember seeing dms at my tables now and again. could be another player. $25/6M is a gold mine if your hands hold. mine have not. 40K hands and $11 profit lol.uggg, I hope I don't through that. That's about 3 months of hands for me.So far I'm running at about 15BB/100 over 17-18K hands. I only play 3 tables at a time right now though.
dms26 3
This is my single favorite world series clip and episode ever. Ty for linking me back to that. I still quote "he called me w/ jack high" to this day.He was walking around Binion's last year with that quote on a t-shirt.
