http://www.pokerhand.org/?2719059Heads Up in a $11 tournament :ts. 1st was $100 more than 2nd.Think I'm gonna stick to tournaments, not cut out for the cash grind. Bores me too much.
Wow.. so beyond gross on that hand...Cash games aren't for everyone, but they are handy when you only have a little time to play. I get bored to tears playing NLHE cash, by the way. You might wanna donk around some micro limit mixed games, it's a lot more entertaining. ;)Here's a beaut from the ten cent turbo when I needed to double triple:PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)saw flop|saw showdownBB (t8230)UTG (t2250)UTG+1 (t1645)Hero (t1325)MP2 (t2355)MP3 (t820)CO (t1565)Button (t2485)SB (t1465)Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Qheart.gif, Tdiamond.gif. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls t150, Hero raises to t1325, MP2 calls t1325, 2 folds, Button raises to t2485, 2 folds, UTG+1 folds, MP2 calls t1030 (All-In).Flop: (t6540) 4diamond.gif, Theart.gif, Aheart.gif(3 players, 1 all-in)Turn: (t6540) Kdiamond.gif(3 players, 1 all-in)River: (t6540) Qclub.gif(3 players, 1 all-in)Final Pot: t6410Results in white below: Hero has Qh Td (two pair, queens and tens). MP2 has 5d Qd (one pair, queens). Button has 6d 6c (one pair, sixes). Outcome: Hero wins t6540. I then proceeded to lose it all on KK<AJ AIPF to a jack on the flop and another on the river for a top 10 stack.. Lotta excitement for a dime, no? :club:

I also tried to get a 2nd .50/1 horse table started, ended up felting someone HU in horse. lol. I won most of the o8b and *all 8* razz hands. Finished it off in stud hi. Seriously. mega ego-boost.edit: I'm have horrible luck the last couple days getting Flop-Turn-River to convert o8b hands from stars, even swapping between FTR/FCP/etc. formats. Anyone got something out there that makes o8b hands pretty? Q, that nautilus work for o8b?double edit:HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEE Night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Won 2 buy ins at .50/1 horse, and another full buy in at 1/2 horse. Not even going to bother with the hand histories, although I had one guy so used to my aggressive river checks he'd raise PF and open-fold to my river check because he wouldn't want to show me what he raised w/ PF... el-oh-el.So yeah, i lost twenty cents in tourneys tonight, and won $100 bux tonight playing dollar min-bet. i feeeeel good. :club:

Weeeeeeeeee.Good night.I think I'm going to play quite a lot of 10c tournies whenever I feel bored/tilted.Chances of me cashing are 0 in these so my OPR ITM% is going to drop significantly so all the ROIfreaks who love to look you up will think I'm a mega-donk and not give me credit. Basically, 10c tournies are +EV.

I'm interested in Gus' book. I've always thought he was unique player but I can't see myself being able to play like him, especially online. Guess it might be refreshing read compared to most of the books out there which did nothing for me.Thinking about mayube getting DN's book at some point, let me know what it's like.First hand of a 10c.Poker StarsNo Limit Holdem TournamentBlinds: t10/t209 playersConverterPre-flop: (9 players) Hero is BB with :5c:club: UTG calls t20 (pot was t30), UTG+1 raises all-in t1500, MP1 calls all-in t1500, MP2 calls all-in t1500, MP3 folds, CO calls all-in t1500, 2 folds, Hero calls all-in t1480, UTG folds.Flop: :D :D :4h (t-4350, 0 player + 5 all-in - Main pot: t7530)Turn: :ts (t-4350, 0 player + 5 all-in - Main pot: t7530)River: :D (t-4350, 0 player + 5 all-in - Main pot: t7530)Results:Final pot: t-4350

i haven't had much to post here lately. most of the hands in 2.20's are pretty boring or standard. i'm also working on a super secret project at the moment that has been eating up my poker time at work. once i finish it, i'll probably share the result here (i'm an e-val whore, so screw the secrecy if it turns out fantastic).after that, i'll get back to grinding out the 45's. there is much more room in those to make nifty/funny moves, so my posting frequency should increase.

So I'm up almost $200 the last two days playing strictly .50/1 horse (wanted to change it up) and jumping into $1/2 horse for the o8b and razz sections (and occasionally staying all the way through stud8).I'm catching some cards, snapping off ridiculous betting lines (esp in stud hi) and just combining our mantra of "good luck" with "good play".Perhaps the #1 defining trend I'm seeing is myself getting money out of weaker players and then LEAVING the table when those players are replaced by people I know who I'm on par with. That's a level of maturity I can't believe I'm finally at, as stupidly simple as it sounds. I still can't play tourneys with any level of consistency to save my life, so oh well.I also find it highly amusing that after I posted in that micro "find me a buddy to IRC with" stake thread that I wanted to play .10 cent turbos (:ts) I promptly went and won $80 on the cash tables, almost double what the thread was offering anyways. And no, I wasn't seriously asking for the stake, before you ask :PI feel like dancin'.. Kick ass couple of days :club:

excellent couple days, cappy. i like to think the mantra is more "good fun" than "good luck". have to be enjoying the game regardless of how good or bad you are doing at any given moment.that thread in genpo doesn't have enough... something for a cat summary. luckily, if i am never again inspired to summarize again i can feel pretty good about the 3 that i've done.

Well, I've had a nice helping of good luck. Hitting a board is one thing, you need someone else to make the second best hand.Twice I've boated up KKxx in o8b and had someone else make the smaller boat with Kxxx and give me a couple capped streets of goodness. Chrozzo's run tonight just sealed it. I'm offiially on an upswing.

I hear ya, it's nice to be thought of, though.

Just a sampling, another biggie was calling off w/ TT against AT for a top 5 stack with 40 to go in a 2.20 180, mr. Intelli Poker hits his 3 outer on the river... so eff'n gross lol.Still up for the night, thanks to the horsie table. But meh.See ya all on the flip side.

It is really a plague. We should start a promotion that gives a few cents to anyone who bad beats an Intellipoker donk.

you gave chroz the credit, but we both know it was THIS thread that got you 1st, cappy. way to go!
Well of course. Plus I had Team Britain talking me through via AIM, which amounted to me typing in "Sweet! QQ!" and "Wow AA!"Lol.. I was such a card rack that final table. Was awesome seeing Chek's thought processes in his MTT though. Jerk has to win 2k as I'm winning a hundo!
tried the morning 5.50mtt. AK = AK < AA, AJ < AQ for the last 80 chips. outski. not my morning.
Icky. Gonna start playing the non-turbos more now?
