Ok, so when I was with some of my friends at the Milwaukee Brewers game a few weeks ago, some guy carrying sign up forms for a free vacation walked up to us in the beer line and asked us if we had 2 seconds to sign up for a free vacation in Maui giveway brought to us by SUNDANCE VACATIONS. So we were waiting, and had nothing better to do, so most of us said sure, well fill out a few lines on this form. So we did and none of us, including myself thought anything of it.Come last Monday afternoon.I get a call from an 800 number and I usually just don't answer these because I get solicitors calling me for timeshares, credit card offers, and satellite cable all the time. But this 800 number was a little bit different from normal, so I thought to answer it. When I answered a lady came on and told me that I had won a $250 internet shopping spree AND a free one night stay at any Marriott in the country, courtesy of SUNDANCE VACATIONS. So, knowing myself, I begin to analyze the situation. I say," first off miss, how do you have my number, and what's the catch?". She responds, "well you either signed up at Miller Park, or at Summerfest, and there is NO catch, all you have to give us is 1 hour of your time for us to let you know of what we provide as far as vacations and getaways goes and you will receive both the spree and the Marriott stay, free of charge". Immediately I knew what she was talking about because I don't sign up for many giveaway offers and the only one I could remember was the one we all signed up for at the Brewers game. So I thought for a second and knew that on Friday morning(today) I had an interview with Wells Fargo set up in Brown Deer at 2 pm, so I would be in the Milwaukee area ANYWAYS, so I figured why the **** not right? I said, " well ma'am, I'm going to be in the area on Friday the 10th and would be able to stop in and pick up the two items on that day, but Miss, please GUARANTEE me that I will not be pressured to buy anything, or have to sign any waivers that I will be buying anything that I have not won when I signed up at Miller Park". She responded, " The only thing you will be required to do is sit through an hour long presentation and then, if you aren't interested, you may leave as you wish". I say ok and we set Friday, August 10th at 4 p.m. as the date for the presentation and the time for me to pick up my prizes.(still VERY skeptical to this situation, but, like I said, I was already in the general area, so I said i'd stop by. I mean hey, if they try and get my to buy any bullshit, i'll leave and head home) Fast forward to TODAY.I finished my interview (which went well) and left at 3:10 pm, and headed to SUNDANCE VACATIONS. I get there, park, walk in (I am dressed very nicely as I just had a job interview, mind you) and the receptionist greets me, asks me my name, phone number, and what I was there for. I told her that I was here for the prizes I won at Miller Park. She has me fill out some information about myself, gives me a $15 Applebees gift card, and says the presentation will be starting shortly. I fill everything out about myself ( just mainly questions about myself and how much I vacation annually etc.) and I get escorted (along with about 16 other people into the presentation room) and the speaker, an employee of SUNDANCE VACATIONS trys to be witty and crack stupid little one liner jokes to loosen the mood( IT IS OBVIOUS THAT NOBODY HERE GIVES A FLYING **** ABOUT SUNDANCE VACATIONS OR WHAT THIS GUYS IS ABOUT TO WASTE AN HOUR OF OUR LIVES TALKING ABOUT, I could sense this in the air at this point).So this speaker talks about all the things that they do, about how the wholesale big amounts of luxury suite rooms in many popular vacation destinations around the world and that they could offer us 30, 8 day 7 night, vacation packages for 12k. At this point, everyone's general mood was saying," ok, lets get the **** out of here, I either don't have 12k to spend, or don't have any interest in dropping the family nest egg on some ****ing vacations". So at the end of the presentation, he decides to inform us that each of us have been assigned a special TRAVEL agent to speak with us about purchasing this ONE TIME OFFER (lol) vacation package he previously mentioned. I almost wanted to stand up and cuss this guy out RIGHT then and there, because they said NOTHING about meeting with any travel agents or discussing possibly purchasing ANYTHING. All they said was to LISTEN to one hour of information and then that was it. But as soon as he said this, about 15 or 16 travel agents walk in and start calling names, (BY THE WAY, THERE WERE SOME AMAZINGLY ATTRACTIVE FEMALES CALLING NAMES). But obv. I get the OLD FAT MID LIFE CRISIS agent. He calls my name, shakes my hand, and says follow me. I reluctantly follow this ********** to his desk area and he proceeds to ask me about how much money I make and if I wanna buy this 12k vacation package. At this point a couple of thoughts cross my mind..... 1) Just completely go ballistic on this guy, and everyone else in the conference room try to sell these people bullshit products and tell them to go **** themselves and that they can't be conning people into shit like this.......2) OR....... Just let this lard ass try and pitch me this vacation package and have some fun with it. ( I have a lot of sales experience, so I know how the game is played and I can throw tons of questions back at him to piss him off)I choose option number two.Right off the bat, he asks me where I am in my career and asks me if I could afford this, I tell him, " I am doing some investing my father and am building a portfolio. So, when I said that he tries to tell me how this package is a " GREAT LONG TERM INVESTMENT", and I can't tell you how much willpower it took to not burst out in a fit of laughter when he said this. I told him "Sir, please explain to me how this is a long term investment, I am gonna spend 12k, and have no ROI (return on investment), so PLEASE tell me how I can treat this 12k expenditure as an investment", he thinks for a second, (probably because he just realized that I am a smart mother ****** and he's gonna have a hard time getting away with telling me the bullshit lies that he gets away with telling the greater general public on a daily basis) and asks me to think about how gas prices were less than a dollar 20 years ago and that if I could lock in those prices, and use them now, I would be making a great investment. He proceeded to tell me that this is the SAME thing because of me buying 30 packages now, I will LOCK IN the prices for the next 10-20-30-40 or as many years as I wanted to keep them as and not have to spend higher prices on vacations. At this point I realize that this guy is soooo full of shit that its unreal, seriously, you guys should have seen this guy, he looked like he needed this sale like his life depended on it. I basically tell him that I'm not interested and would like to get going. He says, " you have no idea what you are missing, you are young, full of life ahead of you, and you are going to pass this offer up, do you know that if you leave today, you will be regretting this your whole life?" I almost threw up at this point and decided to myself that I was gonna let this ********** have it. He continues, " Do you know that when I was your age, I made a 10k investment in a little company called MICROSOFT and everyone thought I was absolutely crazy for doing it? Well now, the stock has done obviously HUGE things and I am worth, well I'm not even going to tell you what I'm worth because you wouldn't believe it if I told you". -Thanks sir for opening that lie/door WIDE OPEN FOR ME.I say(VERBATIM) ," Ok bud, if you are worth SO MUCH MONEY, then why are you selling vacation packages", his face turns red, he exclaims, " BECAUSE I LOVE VACATIONS!".I LOL'ED FOR ABOUT 2 SOLID MINUTES, pissing this guy off even further.So as i'm finishing up my laughing fit, I say, "OK bud, if you are worth all this money, and you LOVE VACATIONS, why wouldn't you just buy this 12k package yourself and save yourself the hassle of dealing with people like me who are obviously smarter than you?".He stands up, and says, " I deal with a lot of people everyday, and NONE OF THEM ARE NEARLY AS COCKY, OR AS ARROGANT AS YOU ARE!"I basically tell him that he doesn't need to get upset just because I am smarter than he is, a better salesman, and don't have to lie to potential customers to sell ANY product that I choose to, I could tell the true and still sell it, unlike he could.He storms off, I get my shopping spree and hotel getaway, and laugh all the way home.QUICK EDIT/ADD ON:Holy ****ing balls. Basically anything I wanna buy online, with the exception of drugs. Just forward the invoice to their business dept. and they will take care of it.I'm trying to think of some way to buy money on Stars or FTP, but I haven't come up with anything yet.I'll prolly buy an IPOD if that doesn't work out.

I orignally thought this would be a spam post about Sundance Vacations because you had the company in caps the entire time. Then I read this. Good story.

1. gave away his address and phone number2. went to "No Pressure" presentation because he had a job interview close by3. got a $15 gift certificate to applebees4. got stuck with old sales guy instead of supposedly hot chicks5. decided to act like a jerk instead of telling the guy straightup he doesn't want their vacation package6. guy gets rightly pissed that OP is acting like a jerk7. OP talks about how he is really smart8. OP looks up company and figures out they are scammers (like anyone didn't know that)

this thing happened to my gf.. she won a free vacation but I wouldn't let her go because I felt like it was a cult.. and for what its worth.. if you ever meet HubDub.. he comes off as the COCKIEST kid in the world... but I like him.

:club: Wow, I live in Wilkes-Barre, PA and never heard of this outfit. Also, I know that they went after my friend who signed up at the NASCAR Race in the Pocono's (PA 500 or Pocono 500) not sure which, not a neckcar fan.
